To get annoyed with people who say the supermarkets are only closed for one day?

People keep moaning about how busy the supermarkets are and how people are buying as if the shops are closed for a month etc etc

Yes the supermarkets are busier because people DONT want to be going food shopping xmas eve/Boxing Day, next few days as maybe they want to relax, drink all day and so not drive, have lots of guests over that they want to spend time with!!
Plus the shops are busier because all the people that would normally do thier weekly shop on a Sunday/Monday are doing it earlier and those that would do it on a tue/wed are leaving it a day or so later so they can last over xmas.

Presumably you'd also support the workers of those shops going without pay for the days concerned?

that's either a day annual leave, or bank holiday, just like anyone else working. so I'm confused what you are on about?

Barbara - I'm working so the only day off I have is today so I couldn't go any other time. I only want normal food no Christmas stuff involved

My Aldi veg last more than 5 days

Ok; mine don't last all week, whereas Morrisons always do. I buy all sorts of things from Aldi but I pay close attention to dates.

There was over 50 people queuing up outside our local Aldi this morning at 8.45 before it opened. It is ridiculous.

Quiet They probably thought it opened earlier and couldn't or didn't want to go away and come back or go elsewhere.

You would expect a supermarket to be open a long time before 8.45, especially at this time of year. I go to two or three different Aldis and they all open at 8 am normally.

Why is that people are greedy twats if they expect to be catering for a lot more people than usual and having family stay for a few days? Of course they will need to buy extra food
