Aibu to not share my sandwich

I went to the doctors today and my daughter was referred to the local a and e for follow up tests. As I knew we would be there for several hours I bought a chicken salad baguette from the local sandwich shop for us to share. As it turns out we didn't eat the sandwich but called into McDonald's on the way home before collecting my son and his friend after school. The friend didn't like his burger so my husband ate it. As we had eaten I grilled some bacon, washed lettuce etc to make BLTs for everyone for supper. I remembered about the chicken baguette in the fridge and decided to eat half of it. My daughter wanted the other half so I put it onto her plate. My husband insists I was unreasonable as I didn't share it with him or offer to cut it into quarters. So lovely ladies of mumsnet am I being unreasonable or is he ???

I realise this is trivial but he just will not let it go.

Ok, I'll bite.
So, for supper you had a burger, a BLT and a chicken baguette.
Daughter had a burger, a BLT and a chicken baguette.
Husband had a burger, a BLT ...
Is it a maths question?

Why would he be bothered about a quarter of a baguette? He's being daft. If he was still hungry I'm sure there is other stuff he could have. I'm about to eat a tuna sandwich I bought earlier but didn't eat. Should I go and give half to DH? Not bloody likely! Grin

antimatter · 12/12/2016 22:04

Does he insist on eating from other people's plates in restaurants ? Or eats their leftovers?

AgnesBrownsCat · 12/12/2016 22:07

The burger was an extremely late lunch for both myself and daughter . Eaten at approx 3.15. We had fruit at the hospital. Supper was the BLT at about 7 pm. I only had the chicken sandwich as did daughter. Husband had burger at same time as us but had had lunch at lunchtime. Son had a BLT for supper. I admit I didn't want to share it, it's half a sandwich . What was the pint?

LTB, 😂

Seriously though, that's just weird and sounds like he has food issues.

AgnesBrownsCat · 12/12/2016 22:07

Point not pint

He ate his own lunch, what you did with yours was your business.

AgnesBrownsCat · 12/12/2016 22:58

He still thinks I'm wrong because I didn't share. I really can't see how this is even an issue. I'm going to the kitchen to eat a mars bar.

By myself

My oh ate my Galaxy and my Dime chocolate bar (big one from ikea) and left the shitty lindt orange flavour one. He knows I can't stand orange flavour.

Total git. (I'm gonna piss in his brandy)

Patriciathestripper1 · 12/12/2016 23:33

He is being precious about not being offered any and thinks he is missing out poor baby...

baconandeggies · 12/12/2016 23:34

Ywbu for anyone to eat your sandwich if it was hanging around in your bag for more than 2/3 hours?

AyeAmarok · 12/12/2016 23:37

Why didn't you/your DH me two BLTs, one for your DS and one for DH?

JustSpeakSense · 13/12/2016 08:21

I think you should have offered to share.

Especially considering you had a later lunch that DH, so he would've been hungrier than you.

ShelaghTurner · 13/12/2016 08:38

But presumably he had access to the kitchen and then read bin? He's being childish.

ShelaghTurner · 13/12/2016 08:38

Or even the bread bin 🙄

GloriousGoosebumps · 13/12/2016 09:23

It's interesting that he berates you for not sharing when he didn't have any problem in eating the burger that your son's friend didnt want!

HaveNoSocks · 13/12/2016 09:26

I can't actually believe he's managed to get genuinely annoyed about that!

Butterymuffin · 13/12/2016 09:26

Yes, did he offer to share the unwanted burger with you? If not he can't complain about the baguette!

Plus, were his arms both in plaster or something, rendering him incapable of making himself a sandwich if he was still hungry?

timeforabrewnow · 13/12/2016 09:36

I can't even work out what this thread is saying - it is very very petty for all of you. Move on swiftly and think about something else!!!

bowchikkawowwow · 13/12/2016 09:53

So you had 3 different sandwiches for dinner? In my house we would share only the chicken baguette between 6 of us and have enough leftovers for the whole week.

timeforachangeofname · 13/12/2016 09:55

Just tell him "MY SANDWICH!!!"
