To have a good shag on the company account?

DH has a work do next Fri in London. By chance, my work do is also in London on the same night. DH's company are paying for a hotel room. Mine aren't (cheapskates Grin ).

We live in Surrey, so I'm going to have to toddle back on the last train all by myself, while he stays out all night, then has a short walk to a Travelodge. It would be oh so tempting to finish up at my do, and then head over to his, carry on with them for a bit, then head back to the hotel with DH. It's especially tempting as we have young children and don't get to go out v often.

But we're both worried it will look like we're taking a massive liberty, and that's not worth it for DH. WWYD?

Will you be expected to get up the next day and have breakfast with all his colleagues, hungover?

mimiholls · 07/12/2016 16:49

I've often taken my dh on company trips abroad and shared a hotel room. Why on earth would it be a problem? It's not costing them anything.

Happens all the time, there's many a single reservation ends up with a freebie plus one next morning, don't sweat it.
Its what Hotels are all about, enjoy!

Oh, wow- 3 pages of replies, and I've only done the school run! Glad to see Mumsnetters coming out in full force in support of my sex life! Grin

DH has spoken to the powers that be, and they were fine with it.
I'm going to pass out drunk on top of the duvet have a raunchy night in a hotel- yippee!!

I wouldnt go to the after work do either, that is inappropriate. Whether I stayed would depend on how drunk late dh would be. I would expect dh to be honest and tell work I was staying just I case there was any unforeseen issue (company insurance for example).

Whats the problem?Confused

howabout · 07/12/2016 17:19

Raines just warn him not to be too beyond the pale by the time you turn up. My DH has a tendency to become the life and soul of any party if left to his own devices and he cannot hold his drink.

Evergreen17 · 07/12/2016 17:21

His work is paying for the room anyway? So you wont mean extra expenses?
Ask your DH to ask manager if this is ok as I dont see why he would say no.

lubeybooby · 07/12/2016 17:35

do it. the cost is per room not per person (99% of the time anyhoo)

PollytheDolly · 07/12/2016 18:02

Enjoy!!!! Grin
