In answer to a few points:
Yes I read the mail. The reference to the search function was because its much faster than scrawling through the page looking for articles. Search results go back to 2009 if you're as keen as me. (I seem to be disappointingly alone in this?!)
For me though, its not really about the Mail's quality as a newspaper, lazy journalism, or any of that. Its about the difference between what we all "know":
WaggyMama "If you write on MN its there for everyone in the world to see for ever anyway."
versus what we actually do, which is to forget this and instead type stuff without considering the wider audience it might reach then think:
Oysterbabe "Ah I'm DM famous again. I need to remember this and be careful what I share on here!"
