Two babies in our bedroom, DS in bedroom 2, MIL staying in B3 for a few months. From the minute one of the kids are up it doesn't stop until about 11pm by which time I'm usually too tired, and even if I'm not I know I need to be responsible and try to snatch some sleep before the babies wake up for a feed. We can't sneak off anywhere, not even to the shower. The kids need constant attention between them all, and while MIL is here to help we can't ask her to take 2 babies and a toddler while we "catch up on some rest". What do people do?

Have you got an attic? Mind where you step though, could be awkward.

You are really making this more difficult than it needs to be. Most people don't have kids and then a spare bedroom to slope off to Confused

Just have a quickie when the babies are asleep (they're three months old! Even if they wake up they're not going to sit up and get an eyeful!), ask MIL to take three year old for a walk while the babies nap so you can too as they kept you up in the night then have a quickie.

I mean if you want a proper long leisurely sesh then by all means go to a hotel but otherwise just get on with it.
