To have pretended we had won money?

I scratched off a scratch card and pretended that I had won £100, just joking and obviously joking. DH took it to heart it wasn't that awful was it?

OP posts:
Beeziekn33ze · 07/12/2016 14:43

Pointless.

OliviaStabler · 07/12/2016 14:45

Not funny at all. It's cruel and plain nasty.

MakeItStopNeville · 07/12/2016 14:49

Jesus Christ, there's a lot of overblown hand wringing on this thread.

OP, it was a spur of the moment joke that could have been funny between a couple, but unfortunately bombed. And if your DH is still sulking, tell him to get a grip of himself.

MakeItStopNeville · 07/12/2016 14:51

And the prank on the teacher and the mother in law one are cruel. The OPs one wasn't. It was just a bit ill thought out.

Bananabread123 · 07/12/2016 14:53

Wow... Massive over-reaction from many posters imo. "Cruel and plain nasty" "Humiliating" Really?!?

Yes, to some £100 is massive... to many it's not a big deal. If the latter then it's hardly any of the above, just a small prank.

Angelitron · 07/12/2016 14:58

Amazed at the 10k and recorded show.

Who in their right mind would do that. It's very, very cruel.

My mother has form for such nastiness, I remember lots of wind ups, especially around gifts. She would hold back gifts pretending not to hVe bought me what I wanted, then produce it late Christmas Day. It wasn't funny and just made me not like her. Her response would be ". You can't take a joke"

It's not funny OP, but he may have overreacted.

QuimReaper · 07/12/2016 14:58

I want to cry at some of this cruel, cruel pranks Sad

BravoPanda · 07/12/2016 15:04

You sure she didn't just pocket the winnings, Acorn?

BravoPanda · 07/12/2016 15:11

Those of you claiming cruelty and not funny under any circumstances etc blah blah blah; You're all rediculous.

I imagine it was a 2 second joke after scratching it off, not some drawn out hour long game of cruelty to torment her spouse for shits and giggles.

Get a bloody grip.

Floggingmolly · 07/12/2016 15:26

We're neither rediculous or ridiculous, Panda. You either get why it's not funny or you don't, I suppose.
God love those that don't get it, though. Definitely something missing in their make-up.

OliviaStabler · 07/12/2016 17:26

You're all rediculous.

No we are not. You might think nothing of it but by the responses on here, many would be very upset.
