Backstory.
I bought shoes from eBay, pretty cheap and so not expecting them to last over a year. I've been to China lots and so know the quality issues. They fell apart after 4 weeks.

I wrote to the seller. They offered a 5% refund. Then asked me to repair them, I explained this would cost more than the shoes, then a 10% refund. I've said full refund.

Now they've sent three emails saying half. I've taken it up with eBay.

I got this this morning.

Don't buy cheap fakes and exploit if you choose to .... Tough

MissVictoria · 23/11/2016 15:41

Because you bought from china, if they were listed as item location china then you're responsible for return postage costs, and needs to be tracked to prove delivery back to seller, Probably cost you more than half to return them.

RentANDBills · 23/11/2016 16:23

Wasn't OP quoting another poster's use of "Daddy" to be fair? She wasn't seriously using it herself?

Ahickiefromkinickie · 23/11/2016 16:37

My phone keeps missing out vital words.

I blame those pesky Chinese factory workers.

Ahickiefromkinickie · 23/11/2016 16:39

Not too sure what the aim of this OP is. Given OP's knowledge of exploitative Chinese work conditions, I thought s/he would be inclined to believe the eBay seller rather than call it blackmail.

TheFullMinty · 23/11/2016 17:14

This thread is madder than a box of frogs. The OP is indeed BU, you buy cheap shit online you get cheap shit. The high horse and entitled attitude doesnt help. Chalk this one up to experience and maybe behave a little less brattishly.

Giselaw · 23/11/2016 18:19

I used daddy, to be fair to OP. Ebay isn't a retail store and if the seller is set up as a private seller, consumer rights act doesn't apply. You can only claim "not as described" but as she's used them repeatedly, not sure eBay will agree.
