For what it's worth, I don't think the dead baby is meant to be a dead baby, I'm sure it's just a miscommunication somewhere along the lines about what was being asked for.

I think a warning needs to be added to the title. That dead baby is disturbing. For those of us who have suffered late miscarriages or stillbirths it is a potentially very distressing image. Will report to MNHQ to ask them to change the title.

I don't think that is supposed to be a dead baby. There is a jaunty pink "welcome [name]" banner in the corner.

Yeah, I googled the dead baby cake (it comes up when you type that into google). Seems it was this american woman who asked her friend to do a cake for the baby shower and gave her the ultrasound picture to model it from. There were comments on her blog telling her it was disgusting and disturbing and that she was unhinged. She just seemed to find it funny and posted a pic of her cutting into the baby's skull. I just don't get why they would really overemphasise the blue tinge and place the baby on a surgical tray. At least have it on a bed or something and maybe don't paint it so blue. Or just don't do it at all. But the point of the story was that they were actually using it for a baby shower where the baby was later born alive. The baby just seems to have quite dumb/inappropriate parents.

I think these are hilarious.
But then I'm the sort of person who googles 'offensive halloween costumes' every year.

Babies are a bit blue/grey when just born. I don't think it's meant to be dead. They just went a bit too far with the attempted realism.

The blue baby on a tray isn't supposed to be a dead baby. It was made as a genuine celebration cake at the birth of a baby girl but it ended up all over the news and the internet because it looked like it was dead and the caker was hugely ridiculed.
Though who'd want to cut up and a eat a cake shaped like their kid? That's bloody weird.
