Never seen the original and this was on TV, it's overacted and bad but I actually enjoyed it being so bad it was good, although they must have spent loads of the budget on costumes Wink

The only good thing about the remake is it makes you remember just how amazing Tim Curry is in the original.

L1lyOfTheValley · 08/11/2016 10:18

There's no remake

Only the original film exists because that's definitive and the world only ever needs that. End of.

Ok, I might have seen Anthony Head on stage as Frank, and fallen in love with him, so I'll let you have that version too...

He still has those boots?

RockinHippy · 08/11/2016 10:25

YABU,

its way more than that - its FABULOUS!!

& I will be avoiding the remake too

rumbelina · 08/11/2016 10:32

What is the plot? I'm a bit confused

Cast it from your mind and just enjoy the ride Grin

I saw it once with Nicholas Parsons as the narrator. He was AWESOME - he's such a sport.

StereophonicallyChallenged · 08/11/2016 14:20

I went to see the stage show last week Grin think it might be on tour at the mo, and it was the best stage version I have ever seen so I would advise seeing it to anyone who can!

x2boys · 08/11/2016 15:35

i havent seen the remake but the original was fab not however as good as the stage show live that was awesome.

x2boys · 08/11/2016 15:36

crosspost Stereophonically!

chipsandpeas · 08/11/2016 15:37

the remake is ok tbh but nothing can beat the original imo

Perfectlypurple · 08/11/2016 15:49

Love love love the original. Have seen it on stage so many times too.

Was going to watch the remake but now I have read this I am not so sure.

AprilLudgateDwyer · 08/11/2016 15:53

Me and friend went to see the stage show in fancy dress. It was great we had to travel from east London to Wimbledon on public transport on a Friday night. We certainly got some looks! The show was fantastic and Richard obrien turned up at the end.

ShelaghTurner · 08/11/2016 17:19

Original is awesome. Never seen a remake, never want to. Tim Curry. I so so so so would!

DonaldStott · 08/11/2016 17:23

Seen the original and the stage show. I likle it. Told my mum how fab it was and she booked to go. Imagine her shock once she realised it wasn't the little shop of horrors, which she had got it mixed up with Grin . She was thoroughly disgusted Grin. Oh how we laughed.

Mummyme1987 · 08/11/2016 17:24

All I know about it is that my local church refused to let it be shown in its church room.

sashh · 08/11/2016 17:47

The original became a cult movie over here. People would dress up as the characters when going to see it more than once

Er, not jus 'over there' guessing Oz by user name.

I may have worn pajamas and mickey mouse ears, thrown rice and soaked a few people - but then it was for work experience.

DeviTheGaelet · 08/11/2016 20:09

Oh is it on tour stereo?

hazell42 · 08/11/2016 21:47

Original film brilliant. Live show better. Have seen it with my daughter twice this year. She wants to go again. Remake? Why bother, when you can have Tim Curry in stockings and a corset. Doesn't get any better
