Cause she clearly is.

To wonder why Cheryl doesn't just make the pregnancy announcement?

Being married to a black man doesn't make you immune to racism - why do so many people say that?

However, I do think that since Cheryl was only 19 at the time she should be forgiven now. When I was 19 I had some unreasonable views that I no longer hold.

lottieandmia · 29/10/2016 21:29

User - so racism is bad but it's ok to make sweeping statements about people who live on council estates Hmm rather hypocritical

BillSykesDog · 29/10/2016 21:29

The toilet attendant claimed that she had called her jigaboo. It's very unlikely she did though, as the attendant didn't mention it until she was approached by newspapers and none of the witnesses recalled it. Multiple independent witnesses saw the attack though.

Incidentally, there have always been rumours that the marriage to Ashley was not quite as it seemed and was more of a business arrangement to detoxify her brand of racism allegations and quash rumours about his sexuality.

Interestingly Liam and Cheryl shared management until recently and are both signed to Universal Records. Both are poised to release what is seen as make or break music soon. And could probably do with getting their face in the news. Innocent face

True we can all do some things as teenagers which would make you burn with shame in later years.

DramaInPyjamas · 29/10/2016 21:30

Here is a non photoshopped version of the pic in the OP, where she looks non orange and non pregnant!

lottie I was not entirely serious....

ReturnoftheWhack · 29/10/2016 21:31

"YOu can take the girl out of the council estate.....etc et"

I'd just as less like to be a racist than a snob.

And I agree it's completely out of line behaviour and language, I just suppose I'm lucky to not be continually judged for a stupid mistake I made when I was 19.

squoosh · 29/10/2016 21:32

She still looks a little orange and perhaps a little pregnant.

lostincumbria · 29/10/2016 21:32

If I was her I'd go on This Morning at 38 weeks and still deny it.

squoosh · 29/10/2016 21:33

I just suppose I'm lucky to not be continually judged for a stupid mistake I made when I was 19.'

That's the risk you take when you break the law I suppose. A criminal record does haunt you. I'm sure Cheryl has wished many, many times that she could go back in time and change her actions.

ReturnoftheWhack · 29/10/2016 21:34

Oh come on! She really DID not marry Ashley Cole to demonstrate her non racism. Hilarious. Grin

ReturnoftheWhack · 29/10/2016 21:37

User, not entirely serious but still pretty rude, no?

kennypppppppp · 29/10/2016 21:38

And it's neither here nor there, but Sacha baron Cohen never announced his wife's pregnancies, nor when she'd given birth. Neither did Liz Hurley announce her divorce from that man she married in India.

Not that I give two hoots if she's pregnant.

But she's in cahoots with whoever took that photo.

BillSykesDog · 29/10/2016 21:39

Still tango'd in that pic.

I can never get past violence with anybody. I absolutely abhor it and I am one strike and you're out. I think violence is a sure sign of a pretty unpleasant character and even as a one off goes beyond the pale. And that attack was really, really nasty. It wasn't a slap, she really battered the poor woman and left her in a right state. She was bloody lucky because it was the sort of attack where if she's hit slightly more to one side she could have killed her.

ReturnoftheWhack · 29/10/2016 21:39

Of course she is Kenny, that's what most celebs do!

User, really? Hmm

ALemonyPea · 29/10/2016 21:40

" Clearly she's not racist, she was married to a black man."

I worked with a lady who claimed she wasn't racist as she was married to an Italian man, yet she made the most awful comments towards all other cultures. Awful lady she was.

ReturnoftheWhack · 29/10/2016 21:42

But do you think she really has an ingrained hatred against black people? Really?

BillSykesDog · 29/10/2016 21:46

Return, it's really not that far fetched. People who need to present a certain image to keep on earning huge sums of money often have sham relationships. We never find out until they're dead. I can think of at least 3 married Hollywood actors who are almost certainly gay - and look at Rock Hudson and James Dean.

I can buy that the relationship with Ashley was real. But I don't believe this thing with Liam is genuine for a second. Couple with same management, signed to same parent record label conveniently get together and generate loads of headlines when he has important music coming out that could make or break him and her image has taken a kicking because she treated JB so badly. Naaah, far too convenient. Not buying it at all.

BillSykesDog · 29/10/2016 21:48

I do doubt she's a racist though. She probably never said that and there's never been any other accusations of racism from anyone else.

Twogoats · 29/10/2016 21:49

She was found NOT GUILTY of racism!

Like I said, I'm from the same area as Cheryl, I had never even heard the slur 'jigaboo' before this case. None of us had! Not saying it's not a real slur, but I doubt it's one Cheryl used.

user1477427207 · 29/10/2016 21:50

I was just coming on to say something like that . She was found 'not guilty' of that aspect of the case. besides what 20 year old uses the word 'jigaboo'? ffs.

Who the FUCK says Jigaboo?!?

squoosh · 29/10/2016 21:54

I was always suspicious of the malaria story.
