If you can't imagine why anyone would wait as long as possible to announce a pregnancy then you are probably lucky enough to have sailed through. Others are not so lucky.

I waited because I couldn't believe it would ever work out after years of trying, 4 rounds of IVF and continuous bleeding for three weeks in the first trimester. A friend waited until she was 16 weeks with twins and very big because she was waiting for the results of an amnio. Not everyone wants to shout it from the rooftops as soon as possible.
