To want it to be 13 years ago and be off on my way to a rock/indie night instead of stuck on a train with dd

Can I please be a teenager with no problems or responsibility off on her way to a proper head banging, mosh pitting night of rock, indie, punk and metal?

Dd's asleep and I'm on a train traveling past my old haunts on the way back from my mums. Ahh nostalgia....

13 years ago? No thanks, I was 30 and just leaving my first husband. 25 years ago would be acceptable.

Mind you, we went to see some friends at the weekend and necked a shiteload of shrooms, so it gets better!

I don't feel nostalgic because we have always done this. We never, except bfing, stopped going out and having fun together.

Just go, children shouldn't stop you doing things like that

I get the nostalgia too. Tried going to a gig last year of a small punk band that I first saw in 2000. The 2000 gig was one of my favourite ever ones. Small but so much energy it was unreal. Last year's was a flop. Crowd was now in their 30s and band in their 40s. Everyone stood calmly watching with their pints. No moshing, no circle pit. Didn't work.

And gig prices now are ridiculous. Has anyone read the autobiography by the guy who ran Brixton Academy? That always makes me nostalgic too.
