AIBU?

To think if you've been asleep for an hour you forfeit the rights to the TV?

DH was watching something and fell asleep. Its now been about an hour he's been snoring and i just turned the channel over.

he woke up and moaned he was watching something.

AIBU to tell him if he's going to keep falling asleep, he doesn't get to hog the TV to sleep too?

(i know im not, but i'm fishing for sympathy for the fact my saturday night involves NO conversation and listening to him fucking snoring because he refuses to go do it in bed)

DH passes out with a death grip on the remote nightly. I'm not bothered unless something horribly violent comes on (I'm looking at you, Scorcese) whereupon I'll change it to a music channel.

I have a universal remote app on my phone

DH does this every fucking night. Drives me mad. I give him 5 minutes while I fetch a cuppa and switch it over.

He also squeaks and grinds his teeth rather than snore. He's lucky he is still alive tbh.

Dad does this, and the rewind trick since they got sky plus. The key is to flick the channel up one then straight back again occasionally if you don't change it completely. DM only does it with repeats but he is obsessed with the same five WW2 programmes he has "never seen" and those sweary gold hunting people so I don't blame her.

He also puts on something crap and vanishes up the garden for an hour or more then starts having a go if the channel was changed. How can you watch something if you are not even in the building the TV is?

Does anyone else get them keeping the remote on their leg or right next to them and constantly patting it or moving it eeever so slightly? Just in case ninjas have stolen it I assume.

DH does this in front of the football. The day is structured around him being back in the house in time to watch it, we're all sorted I have a glass of wine cup of tea and the papers to get through 90 minutes of tedium, he settles down to watch. Sometimes he's asleep before 5 minutes are over. Aaaarghh!!
I give it 5 minutes, definitely not an hour.

No, No, No. Once maybe, but 4 times? Not a chance in our house. If people fall asleep they lose the right to watch the programme they put on.
