DD and DSD have been sharing a room so what they had before was very limited as there wasn't much room. DD is now moving into her own room and insists she needs all this stuff that I'm really not sure she does.

Happy to get her everything she needs but need to have some sort of idea of what's a standard room first.

TIA

Dd18 tomorrow not sure what's in the bedroom but I've stuck a health hazard sticker on the door. Refuse to clean her room she's old enough to do it herself. Next year she'll hopefully be at uni so has to learn I'm not her servant

Besides if she gets her own TV won't DS also get one, and that starts to get a bit... silly, no?

They have their own TVs already

Do you have skygo? If you do can't she just use that in her room until you get round to her a tv point fitted? That's what me and DP had to do until sky actually came round to fit our point in our room that we'd payed for when we first moved in 3 months earlier.

In her bedroom DD has a double bed, built in small wardrobe (s0 we have a second in spare room as needed more room), a bookcase, an armchair, a standing mirror and a small bedside cabinet. She has a Sonos in there and can, if she wishes, take in her laptop, phone or iPad. There is no fixed TV and no TV point.

She does also have pretty much exclusive use to a study and snug room though - this has desk and chair, bookcases, a sofa bed, a Tv unit with smart TV, Apple TV, and PS3 (which is BluRay player.) There's no TV point - her TV runs off the wifi.

I'm Shock at all these double beds.

Mine have bunk beds.

Desk

Drawers

Bookcase

Storage for crap.

Two of them have to points, but they don't have TVs in their rooms.

DS1 has ruined his carpet with a welding iron HmmAngry He is on the autistic spectrum and likes minimalist to the point of removing all pictures. Hmm

DD has varnished boards and a rug.

She also has bunting and fairy lights and paper pom-poms everywhere, but she's only 11.

17yo DS is on the autistic spectrum and likes minimalist to the point of removing all pictures. DS 2 asked not to have carpets, do has vinyl tiles in lime green which look lots better than they sound.

We had all lovely new carpets put down in all bed rooms apart from DS2 4 months ago. He still had the horrid one because I refuse to get a new one until him and his girlfriend stop living like filthy animals.

DD is 14. No tv, lots of books, desk and a double bed at home. She has her own bathroom which she loves, as....

When at boarding school she has a shared dorm with four other girls, a single bed and shared bathrooms, plus her mobile taken away at night ;-) She has a tiny private study there with a lockable desk and does work in.

She loves school best. Crazy.

DD2 (17) has single bed, built in wardrobes and bookshelves, 2 bedside tables, desk and computer chair. The laptop stays downstairs overnight but she has her phone as she "needs" it for her alarm.

No TV. She watches catch-up on the laptop.

Extensive floordrobe and more make up than Boots.
