To ask what's in your teens rooms?

DD and DSD have been sharing a room so what they had before was very limited as there wasn't much room. DD is now moving into her own room and insists she needs all this stuff that I'm really not sure she does.

Happy to get her everything she needs but need to have some sort of idea of what's a standard room first.

Ds 17 has a double bed, wardrobe with drawers, tall bookcase, bedside chest, desk, tv stand/cupboard, computer/gaming chair.

He also has his laptop, with a second screen, PS4 connected to a 28"Tv through which he watched Netflix etc

It's a reasonably big room though and it's basically his den.....

The boys all have
pretty much the same except for the storage for make-up and nail stuff and handbags,except the 2 oldest have laptops in they're rooms as well and the second oldest has a record player and loads of records and the 3rd oldest son also has an x box and all of the games,controllers and head sets that go with the x box.

Dd is 15 & has a double bed, bedside cabinet, cheat of drawers, wardrobe & a dressing table with a mirror. She has a table lamp & a storage box for school books. She has fairy lights draped around her mirror but her room is grey & black. She has a wooden floor.

Ds is 12 & has a single bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers & a bedside unit. He has a wooden floor & a box for school books. He also has a TV (Dd doesn't)

My 13 DD has bed, bedside table, wardrobe, chest of drawers and desk. She has a full length mirror and carpet. I am thinking of changing a lot of carpets upstairs but don't think I will bother replacing hers as then I won't be upset if she gets make up etc on it.
She has a laptop and tablet but no Tv. If she had a Tv in there we'd never see her!

DD17 has a single bed, a desk, a cube storage thing, lots of shelves, a massive whiteboard on the wall (brain extension), a record player and all our records, Laptop, small bedside table, all walls covered in sheets of paper with drawings or post it notes.

DS15 has a single bed, a desk, a bookcase full of bits and bobs, lots of shelving, an armchair usually full of clothes, a gaming pc and a laptop, small bedside table, an always overflowing bin.

Both rooms have TV connection but they don't use them, we have an unwanted TV gathering dust in our bedroom.

Both have a wardrobe on the landing, the loft is theirs, including a shower room (they clean themselves).

DS1 14. He has a single bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bookcase, 2 dvd/cd towers, plastic storage unit, 2 snake tanks (realise that's probably unusual!) 3 shelves for various geeky figures and some of his favourite Lego.

'Stuff' wise...alarm clock, speaker for his phone, tv on top of the wardrobe (bit of a waste, don't think I've ever seen him turn it on!), electric guitar plus stand and amp.

my 14 year old has single bed, draws, stool, full length mirror, book case, 1 bed side table, and a couple of shelves, she has a cd player but no TV or games console.

Ds (16) will have very similar if he ever gets round to painting his walls; only exception being that we will polish the floorboards as can't afford laminate this time round, and I can't imagine he will require two book cases

no TVs in either room, but both have phones and internet access, and there is a laptop for sharing between them

Dss is 13.5, has the box room as dd and dsd share. He has a highleeper bunk, desk and chair, single futon style chair, bookcase, chest of drawers and a diy wardrobe which basically is a hanging rail between the bookcase and the wall. He has a tv in there as it doubles as a pc for homework and a nowtv box. He knows the rules and what happens if he watches anything inappropriate but all 3 kids hang out in it on an evening and watch tv before bed.

My 3 teenagers (all girls) share the larger front double bedroom. Two are in bunkbeds and the other sleeps in the top bed of another bunkbed unit, but it has a desk underneath and there are shelves at bed height. Also there is another long desk (with a diving line down the middle) and three desk chairs, one small single wardrobe and one double. They have underbed storage boxes. One of the bunkbeds (against an alcove) has built-in shelves in the alcove all the way up on which they have boxes. There's a set of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. All have their own lights, and there are blinds attached to the beds so they can draw them down. No TV in the room - they'd watch TV on a laptop if they wanted to. The wardrobes have mirrors on them. The floor is carpeted, and there's a rug as well. They have things like little make-up mirrors but they're on their shelves.

DS16 has a single bed, cupboard, inflatable chair, TV cabinet, TV, Xbox, docking station, fan. He is in the box room by choice so not much room for more stuff. He says he doesn't want to move into the bigger spare room because it's more to tidy up!

DS 15 has single bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bookshelf, desk and chair, armchair, laminate flooring with rug.

PC in his room, also iPad, both switched off when he goes to bed.

If he wants to watch tv he watches it downstairs. He also has (in the dining room) his drum kit, full size concert xylophone and an electronic piano. Plus snare drum, bongos and other assorted small percussion instruments.

I think there's a carpet. I get remarkably excited when I see it, much to their disgust. I assume there's a bed, although one of my teens prefers to sleep on the floor.
There can't be a bookcase judging by the number of books on the floor...

DS1 16 - double bed, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers, 4 bookcases, large desk for his computer with 2 and about to become 3 computer screens on it plus chair obvs. He also has a large smart tv with television point (it was there when we moved in) but he doesn't watch tv. he has various tablets and phones and ipods and 3 tons of lego stored under his bed! We have internet filters on. as long as he gets up in the morning then it's really up to him when he turns his light off, he's 16 not 12.

DS2 15 has similar to above but smaller desk, 1 computer and 1 screen, no tv or tv point as he isn't interested, and he also has a PS4 and Xbox one and various hand held gaming devices, phones tablets etc. He has his guitar and amp too. Same as above re lights out but I do tell him to put it off if it's still on when I pass and it's after 11. I don't stand outside and check up on him. he gets up when called in the morning with no issue

Dd (16) carpeted room, fitted wardrobes with mirrored doors with 4 full sized wardrobes, double bed. En suite shower room with sink, PC, phone charger, lap top, bedside cabinet with lamp, dressing table and stool.
Study desk with lamp and chair. No TV as such as she streams everything through her laptop and PC.

Ds2 (15)-bed, wardrobe, desk, loads of shelving, mess all over the floor.

Dd (12)- bed, wardrobe, desk, loads of shelving, hamster; make-up/hair stuff everywhere.

They each have a pc for homework. No theme going on here.
