This isn't about the whys and wherefores of how we got here but, since no one I speak to IRL is happy with the path Brexit is leading us down and I've just seen a poll in the Metro strongly in favour of abandoning Brexit it got me wondering how wide spread it is.

This isn't supposed to be an argument thread or even how you voted, just Are you happy heading towards a hard Brexit

Yes or No

NameChanger22 · 16/10/2016 19:07

No. I voted remain. It can only lead to disaster. Hard or soft brexit, either way it will still be a disaster. Can we even recover from the last few months of fear of brexit, I don't know?

ginghambox · 16/10/2016 19:07

Yes.

tiggy I think the demographic of members is quite wide, whether they chose to respond is a different matter.

if this really were what the people want I'd expect the voting to be much more equal.

If you were happy about it why wouldn't you be shouting from the rooftops?

No, the whole thing is a fucking train wreck.

daisiesinherfootsteps · 16/10/2016 19:17

No. It's a complete car crash. Getting our ducks in a row to leave UK for good.

twofingerstoGideon · 16/10/2016 19:18

No. I think the whole thing is highly undemocratic, as well.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 16/10/2016 19:19

No.

Not representative because in general MN is more educated than population as a whole and thus more able to understand how the EU works etc. Hence why there are more remainers on MN

TwoWeeksInCyprus · 16/10/2016 19:19

No. It's a disaster. Keeps me awake at night.

Paddybare · 16/10/2016 19:22

No, the whole thing so far has been a disaster

strongswans · 16/10/2016 19:22

No, it's very scary and a I am very worried about the future.

DrDreReturns · 16/10/2016 19:24

I'd be a yes if I thought we were going to stay in the Single Market a la Norway. Given that is very unlikely I'm a 'No' - I think we are in for a nasty recession.
Just my opinion.

GlueSuedeShoes · 16/10/2016 19:25

Hell no

JellyBelli · 16/10/2016 19:27

No.
Its not just that I voted to Remain. Its that if you create a coalition to collect the votes of the BNP and UKIP, its pretty clear who you are and what your real motives are. their behaviour after the vote made that blindingly clear.
Its that I see a photo of Farage looking like Trumps lap dog and think Britain is worth more than the right will sell it for.
I dont see any improvement in the NHS, or anywhere else.

wowowowow · 16/10/2016 19:28

It's strange that all those people shouting aloud that it's a "disaster" never stood up and vented while the British Government allowed/encouraged/promoted house prices to go sky-high and out of control along with the standard of living here going down the drain. Look at the NHS. Look at public services.

I know it's a different subject but it's all part and parcel of what is going on.

The Government is there to serve the people. How on earth did we allow them to do what they have done. How many people, despite high wages, can afford to buy a home?

I hope The Government now sees that people want to take back some control of their lives in the UK.

For many the yes vote was a (quiet) protest vote. I trust The Goverment will listen to what the (not so little) people want.

ChestyNut · 16/10/2016 19:28

No Sad

SleepFreeZone · 16/10/2016 19:30

I wouldn't have been happy staying and I'm not happy with leaving but I don't mind TM.

Bearbehind · 16/10/2016 19:33

wowow given you didn't know what 'hard Brexit' meant I'm not sure you can't criticise.
