The Lloyds advert has come on, the one where the horse is running through all the scenes.

He usually loves it. Tonight he is pissed off. The scene where the man is proposing to his boyfriend has been cut out.

Why?!

Why is it important that it's a gay scene being omitted?

Why? Because why should gays not be seen as normal thing in society?

Why should it all be about heterosexual couples?

Cause we get almost no fucking representation in the media unless it's negative news

Well, making an issue of it, such as this thread does, means we do not see gay actions as normal. Right?

I don't give a fig what money-stealing banker adverts care to show us or not show us as being 'normal' when they are after our money and nothing more.

Normal would be seeing gay couples on tv like hetero couples

Do you have any statistics that prove there are as many gay couples as there are hetero couples so that they have absolutely equal tit for tat air time.

Being gay is as normal as being hetero.

And that's exactly why I do not think 'noticing' some scene being cut because it is 'gay' is itself normal.

YWNBU to be annoyed about all versions of al Lloyds ads. They're all fucking annoying (and I even bank with them - they're one of the few who deign to still have counter service in my nearest city, though!)
