To not give them choices for dinner anymore

I cook pretty much everything from scratch and do all the cooking in our house. I have a nice selection of homemade ready meals in the freezer which are great for busy days and when folks need to eat at different times.
After a busy day my DH and adult ds didn't fancy anything I had made. They were all meals they have happily eaten before but weren't in the mood for.
I gave them 7 different dinner options. Salmon supreme, beef lasagne, cottage pie, beef curry, shepherds pie made from leftover roast lamb, lentil curry or Mac and cheese.
I was met with "What else is there?"
They seriously expected me to come up with something else. I didn't.
Really fucked off with them for behaving like entitled twats. DH thought I was a bit out of order getting angry about it.

another one here with many many meals (home made, from scratch btw) in the freezer...
two types of burger, bolognese, cauli cheese, venison casserole, hunter's chicken, chiken kievs, and there is a chicken curry thing lurking in a bag for the slow cooker, there might even be a pie in there.

no one dares to quibble here though, I'd have lost my rag at them sniffing there was nothing they fancied...wretches!

Supermum. 7 different choices of delicious sounding homemade meals.

Agree with the others - too much choice

I have always told my family what I am cooking for dinner. If they don't want what I cook they can go and buy themselves something else, and I mean 'buy' - not use something else from the cupboard or fridge.I can't afford to be buying multiple meals for ungrateful sods.
I will ask if they have any idea what we can have or take suggestions but they often can't make their minds up so its left to me to decide.
I won't cook different meals because people are fussy.

Thank for recipe op. I'll give it a go. The dc are a bit Hmm about anything in cheese sauce but they do love salmon.

For the record, if I'm defrosting something from the freezer for tea then I often let the 4 year old choose what to have. However I tell her the options and that she has to choose one before I count to 5. That seems to focus her mind on the options at hand... Might work with your dh and ds Grin
