I'm probably going to be slated for this, as being really ungrateful! However, those flowers are headbands BlushShock

Those shoes...

I feel sooo mean, but I know they'll be expecting a nice photo of her in them on Facebook!

This is quite mean, OP. Regift them of you don't like them.

diddl · 10/10/2016 08:16

I love the bootees-and the frilly shoes!

Headbands for babies aren't my thing, but my daughter would have loved those flowers on an elastic band that you use for a ponytail.

Olddear · 10/10/2016 08:20

Well, that's last gift you'll get from Barb! I agree though, this thread is really quite unkind.

blueskyinmarch · 10/10/2016 08:27

My reaction would be to put all the hairbands on her at once like some sort of floral cap, laugh like a drain, and take pictures for future reference/pisstaking. Then put the hairbands away so she can put them on her dolls and teddies when she is older. I love the knitted bootees though.

nannybeach · 10/10/2016 08:43

They are gorgeous! Whats wrong with you

LittleBearPad · 10/10/2016 08:46

The knitted booties are gorgeous. The rest....

But it is the thought that counts.

Danglyweed · 10/10/2016 08:51

YANBU I absolutely hate knitted stuff, unfortunately both my grans are keen knitters. Lovely of them to make them, but really not my kinda thing. Thankfully dd2 quite likes them for her dolls or theres quite a few local charities that collect baby clothing for refugee camps etc. Im afraid i dont even bother doing the photo nonsence.

As for baby headbands... well, theres a special place in hell for them.

SparklyUnicornPoo · 10/10/2016 09:03

I actually really like the headbands and the booties. DD was born with a full head of thick, dark hair though which totally makes the headbands look cool.

DD strangely started taking them off almost as soon as she worked out how, she's been choosing her own clothes since she was about 2, I suspect the 2 are connected.

HereIAm20 · 10/10/2016 11:10

I'm guessing Barb (the sender) was American. They like those dreadful headbands for bald babies! Saw loads of them when visiting family over there. Thankfully we just have boys!

sianihedgehog · 10/10/2016 11:21

I pure love the booties. I found booties like the yellow ones absolutely brilliant with my baby as they stayed on and were warm and comfortable for my boy. And I agree with a pp, it's the presents that aren't your taste which are the sweetest, as they show what a wonderful variety of people all love your baby.
