To expect my OH to wear clean undies every day?

I have just read the thread about the bloke not showering. My OH does not change his undies every day and makes his boxers last about 3 days. It sounds truly disgusting, but he doesn't smell. Is this normal? I could not ever imagine wearing the same pair of undercrackers two days in a row.

I remain baffled as to why all these men think it's either a waste of time or a waste of pants to wash them. Pants are quite small. A week's worth is not going to use up a noticeable amount of water or laundry soap. Pants are fairly inexpensive, replacing ones worn out by washing is not going to break the bank. Their arguments don't make any sense, so I'm going with that they're just not terribly into cleanliness.

Has someone said it's healthy? I think at most some have said it's not as bad as some think it is.
Has anyone developed a fatal illness by not changing their pants for 48 hours? Or 72 hours?

Why do people on here state things that have not actually been said?
I change mine every day...some people don't. It's ridiculous to get so appalled by someone not changing their pants daily.
It wasn't that long ago that many people didn't have enough pants to change every day.

That's like saying people never used to wash as soap was so expensive...not a very relevant comparison!
Undies can be bought for pennies these days how on earth can putting the same pair on after bathing be remotely hygienic? I can't believe people continue to excuse those with such minging slovenly personal hygiene habits

MN opinions are strange. Whats the big deal? If DH smells ask him to shower/change more, if he doesn't what the fuck difference does it matter how often he changes his pants?
