AIBU...to be so done with people’s ‘cryptic’ social media statuses?

AIBU...to be so done with people’s ‘cryptic’ social media statuses along the lines of:

“Someone made a serious mistake today! Fuming!”
“Just so fed up with it all”
“Hates liars”
“Let down again!”

Cue the nosey taskforce – probably just what the status owner wants – commenting asking what’s up, followed by “I’ll inbox you”! We all get fed up, let down etc but isn’t that what a phone is for? To call/text friends or family to vent, not be all ‘mysterious’ over social media?

Any social anthropologists out there that can shed any light on why people do this? A feeling of being lonely/needing attention maybe, even though they often have hundreds of social media ‘friends’?

Oh, and after my rant I did get a PM from a MLM friend offering to help

I wonder if that's part of their training - to PM anybody posting upset/angry statuses in a bid to worm their way in? It's never occurred to me before.

My SIL checked into the dentist to tell everyone she was there for a check up.

My child is so poorly. Look at these 34 almost identical photos of said poorly child looking poorly. Ok I get maybe posting one pic of your child when they don't feel well, I've posted a pic of my youngest when he had chicken pox. He was covered. However any more than three pics is taking it too far.
But by far and away my biggest, biggest annoyance on fb is people who post others baby news.

Doubt it, I'd stated that I would be moving my business from the company so were probably just suggesting their own. But certainly on the lookout for an opportunity

Best ever for me : woman I VAGUELY know from school playground outs herself on FB as having a drink problem. The purpose of the post was to find out who "really truly cared and will be there for me". I mean really, she's not my friend and we have nothing in common, but neither am I a heartless cow ...?!!

And a man in his 50s who broke his arm!! Cue off putting 'massive bruise' photos and daily updates!!

Ha ha, I have FB friends who post ridiculous memes - "I'm awesome, I'm a bit funny and crazy, I don't have a washboard stomach, I won't apologise for whom I am"...it's so cringey I love it. How anyone can think this trite shite is profound baffles me.

One of them also posts hugely passive-aggressive statuses, and someone went off on her calling her an immature attention-seeker who should just say what the fuck she meant because the whole bloody world knew anyway. Didn't work though.

I think some people think that meme's are an acceptable alternative to actually having emotions.

My cousin (not the one above, another one!) certainly does. She shows no emotions to her family, parents, son and is happy to have no close friends yet shares meme after meme about how great it is to have a mum/dad/son/friend etc and share if you feel the same. She wouldnt notice if they fell through a hole in the earth!

And before anyone asks, she is NT, just selfish and self obsessed.
