YABU. Disappointed, annoyed, depressed? Your feelings are entirely up to you. You could have walked past and disregarded it.

I think you might be over reacting.

Christmas tress make me feel nothing but warm and fuzzy.

On Monday I saw a hair salon with a sticker Christmas tree in their window, with sticker hair products with bows on and 'treat your hair' or something similar in fancy writing.

I feel like the fun goes from Christmas because it's spread so thinly over 3/4 months.

The mince pies in the Co op are reduced now

Christmas seems to start earlier and earlier every year. I was thoroughly bored of it last year by mid-November.

To be fair. I have trouble sleeping on Christmas Eve. I'm worse then the children. So I might not be the right person to ask.

I feel you OP. I can't bear Christmas even when it's Christmas. I certainly don't want to hear anything about it until after fireworks night.

I had a shock the other day when I saw mince pies in Sainsbury's (didn't stop me buying a box ) and Asda has started selling the big tubs of chocolates, big tubs of chocolates just scream 'Christmas is coming'.

Of all the places to do this, charity shops probably have the most reason.

If only as a subtle threat that you should declutter now and drop stuff off at the charity shop before your house fills with Christmas tat.

Christmas should only occur once every three or four years. It's annoying, expensive and disruptive.

A Christmas tree out in September should be against the law.

They probably have a bunch of Christmas stock in and limited time to sell it so wanted to start early. If it helps people spend money in there it really doesn't matter does it?

It was a definite WTF moment. I hurried on my way to Costa Coffee. Still September after all.

God, that's ridiculous. Anything to do with Christmas should be banned until at least 30 November! And I actually like Christmas!

It's depressing that people can't wait for anything. By the time Christmas arrives, I am usually fed up with it.
The boasting about having bought all their presents already has started with my friends on Facebook....

We took the DC out to the Toby Carvery ( when he got his GCSE, they had a special offer- Free Pudding if you bring your results)

They had Christmas tree decals on the windows and mirrors and were taking bookings.

Of track....if you go there on Christmas Day do you queue for your carvery meal or do they bring it to you?

It spoils Christmas because we're fed up of it all by the time the day gets here.

I love xmas really love puttting decs and tree up etc, going to xmassy things.

BUT xmas trees in shops in sept/oct are really annoying, its months away and to me it really spoils the actual time to celebrate xmas as its just some other gimmick to sell stuff. Yes I know its a whole money making thing for all the shops but its getting to the point that next year we will be having xmas stuff along with holiday stuff. Xmas is in december! Not all year round. It should be a holiday time at a certain time of the year not a cheap trick to sell stuff early. People will still buy what they want for xmas presents, themselves, the house etc nearer the time. There isnt any need to have xmas stuff in your face before even halloween!

Yep I start buying pretty early (like spied a couple of things that were perfect for kids this week but the main stuff I will leave till later on) but seriously Xmas trees in sept? Thats taking it too far. I would deliberately avoid buying there until nearer the time, but hey thats just my stubborness. Xmas is a special time, not religious especially, but special family time not 6 months of cynical selling time, to me.

Christmas has been starting in the shops in September for years.

I've done loads of Christmas shopping, if Wilko's have got their paper in I'm going to start wrapping next week.

Christmas starts mid December in our house as my birthday comes first 😆
