How do you feel about dogs in buggies?

Would you judge and/or laugh?

I only laugh at poodles in tutus.

I'd like to carry a baby panda around in a sling. That would be pleasing.

I'd never seen one until we went to Whitby this weekend and we saw 5 in the space of a few hours. I did think it odd and a little silly, though I can sort of understand it for very very small dogs.

I did chuckle a bit.

Makes me glad my dog can walk. Does that count as judging? Probably

I would do neither ,I would assume the dog had something wrong with its legs but still likes to get out and about . There is a lady near us who has one dog in a carrier / buggy and another who walks , the dog has a degenerative spinal condition but he gets out at the park for a little mooch about and then gets back in whilst his friend has a good walk .

My dog slipped a disk a few years ago and he's getting older and very slow and stiff on walks. It's a bit of a pain as the other dogs want to get on and trot fast ahead.
I know they look ridiculous but he does love walks and would be sad to be left behind.

He would look fine in a tutu too

Well knowing it is usually for dogs post operatively or for ones on restricted exercise for medical reasons I would only judge them as an excellent owner putting their dogs welfare first and not over doing the exercise while still letting them get out and about.

It does make me laugh but not in a judgy way, more because you don't see it that often and it's quite cute

Lots of good breeders use them to help socialise their puppies before they have their vaccinations. I think both of ours went all over in a bright pink buggy😂

My lovely elderly neighbour has a very small dog that is getting old too and she pushes him in to the shops with her it's quite sweet really. She says the dog buggy also gives her some support when walking

Aw, I saw a pug in a buggy in Lake Garda this summer. I think you should go for it. There's a lady locally who pulls her dog along in a little trolley. I think he has a problem with his legs.

I'd be jealous. I'd love to push a dog along in a buggy. But my Ddog is huge and very fit!

I'd think it a bit weird but I'd coo if it was a child or an elderly person

Can't you just get a normal human buggy and umm maybe tie some fabric around the frame so dog can't escape? Or maybe get a car harness type thing and attach that to buggy straps and strap him in...?

Our dog went in the pram with ds after she had a big operation.

As well as walking, dogs like sniffing the smells in the air. I can assure you our dog loved going on a pram walk!

I gave away my old buggy to someone who wanted it for their elderly dog. Why would you 'judge'. Maybe the dog can't walk very well, but still wants to go out and 'smell' the world.
What should they do? Leave it at home? Put it down?

I wouldn't judge, we could've done with a dog buggy for when my childhood dog was going blind/senile. He got very daft at being walked on the road to and from the footpaths/fields we walked him on and was just a little big to be carried very comfortably.

I wouldn't judge, I'd laugh and have had a giggle before when I've seen people pushing their dogs in a dog buggy (I think they were a pair of young women with matching buggies).

Actually, there's a rather handsome man at the top of my road who was walking his retrievers the other day. One was in a giant jogging stroller (one of the dogs that is). In his case I would just smile knowingly.

Generally I assume the dog has a medical issue but dog or owner needs the air/stimulation & probably dog hops out to stretch its legs but can't make it all the way home & back.

I'd like one for my bulldog as she can't walk for long and sometimes we want to go for longer but she gets tired. They are too expensive though.

I would do this for mine if need be. I would be slightly embarrassed but I would be happier having her with me.

My Mum has one her and her beloved little dog are both getting older. And mum doesn't have a lot of confidence going out on her own so the dog gives her that boost.
She normally starts the dog off on his lead then when his little legs get tired she pops him in the buggy. Another advantage is Mum says the buggy offers her support when walking.
