Can I just introduce Hullygully as inbred?

I witnessed an explanation today that cross breeds are the better bred dogs now and that's why they are more popular.

Now I'm not doggist. As long as no dogs were harmed in the making of your dog than I'm cool and groovy.

But as Pedigrees are now sneered at as inferior canines, can I change the description?

Because Hullygully is a shining and VERY MUCH SPEYED example of what happens when stupid people breed dogs for a fast buck. So it's technically apt, right?

...is this thread going to end up full of nasty comments and deleted as well? Its starting to be a pattern, isnt it.

AdaLovelacesCat · 29/09/2016 01:32

well maybe Jelli , you should go off and have a quiet little think about why that might be...Smile

giraffesCantReachTheirToes · 29/09/2016 01:34

Zombie, I know you and so better not reply cos we might be conspiring!

I started posting in 2008, after lurking for 6mo or so. Cod-type jokes ruled the boards, shopping lists etc and then red rugs...you just read and join in. If you don't know - ask! I always did and was happily told and then I would do the same for anyone else with a link if necessary. Same as if someone joins your table at a play group, you lean over and explain the history briefly to the new person. No dramas!

giraffesCantReachTheirToes · 29/09/2016 01:34

jelly piss off Grin

AdmiralData · 29/09/2016 01:46

Chimeras. Labreadors. Racehorses called Derek. Dogs called Eric and Elvis. Puppy rimming. You fuckers. I've had to laugh in a most indelicate manner under a pillow so as not to wake the goldfish. Why is there drama afoot? It started so nicely :/

KimmySchmidtsSmile · 29/09/2016 02:26

There should be an "in bread" category at Crufts (Crusts).
Winner is the dog that resists eating the bread toast
Looking at that photo, Hullygully would be in with a shout.
But could well get beaten by a doughberman.

MerryMarigold · 29/09/2016 03:04

I too came on this thread thinking: Hully is back!

But I still haven't seen an answer to 'OP'? HoneyDragon (are you the dessert for SoupDragon?), I think you absolutely should introduce him as inbred. But I know nothing about dogs.

Absy · 29/09/2016 07:34

I agree giraffes. When I joined it was around the time of moldygate and people were quite happy to bitch about it at length explain what was going on. But then, there was the occasional new person who would complain if mners chatted to each other in threads. 'Twas ever thus so

GaryGilmoresEyes · 29/09/2016 07:52

Occasional poster and long term lurker here. I have a feral cat called Derek. His NN has been Cat Shit Derek for a while now because he's a little shit and it suits him after reading the username on here.
I find it funny. My family just look at me like Confused

THEN while its little arse was still puckered in trauma, she used the poor little tyke as a sandwich filling

BigChoc, you forgot to mention the trauma of the poor little tyke being turned blue (or was she Immac'd?).... Hullygully will be moving to Germany with Brianna next.

AdaLovelacesCat, you need this in your life if you don't have it already.

Soubriquet · 29/09/2016 08:25

Aw shucks I missed the funny drama

I've only been on mn about a year. I lurked and joined in where possible and voila. I learned the jokes. They usually come up on HoneyDragons threads as she's such a comical poster and a good sport

Absy · 29/09/2016 08:42

I thought it was HD's baby who had been immaced and blued?

In summary - font go near HD if you're a dog or baby

Soubriquet · 29/09/2016 08:46

Or a spider as you get literally twatted Grin

HerRoyalFattyness · 29/09/2016 08:46

I've been here about a year and a half. I just jump in and no one ever minds.

EmpressKnowsWhereHerTowelIs · 29/09/2016 08:53

I thought it was HD's baby who had been immaced and blued?

I wouldn't swear to it but I think Honey immaced the baby and blued Hully.

There are always going to be in-jokes and catchphrases, how could there not be? But posters will always be happy to explain them when asked.

Trills · 29/09/2016 08:53

Then they paved paradise and put up a parking lot, and all we have left to remember it by is a dog sandwich.

What, no swinging hotspot?

Soubriquet · 29/09/2016 09:01

No she immacced AND blued the baby Grin

Ginslinger · 29/09/2016 09:01

oh god, it's a quiche, isn't it?

Absy · 29/09/2016 09:03

Yes, but it's a quiche with naice ham so it's ok

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 29/09/2016 09:10

I think HullyGully puppy got blued as well as the baby. At the risk of being accused of being part of an 'in-joke' I think I remember a picture of hully covered in blue pavement chalk.

Soubriquet · 29/09/2016 09:12

I don't doubt that for some reason

Wink
Tanith · 29/09/2016 10:28

Oh, some people get uppity about MN Royalty Hmm
They used to protest about The Clique on the BBC site. Just a small number of self-important posters that don't like anyone discussing stuff they can't join in so they trash the thread.

Dog-in-a-manger, anyone? Wink

BathshebaDarkstone · 29/09/2016 10:41

BathshebaDarkstone is so not a dog name.

Soubriquet · 29/09/2016 10:43

You used the R word! Shock

Now you've done it

And Bathsheba is.
BathshebaDarkstone is just a posh dog with a surname

BathshebaDarkstone · 29/09/2016 10:50

Mmmmm...... Naice ham.....
