standing in the queue, waiting for a nice easy 30 second transaction to pay for a nice easy bottle of water or can of diet coke - and it takes absolutely ages because every fucker in front of you is ordering their tall skinny half fat decaf extra double shot latte with soya milk and hazelnut foam or whatever the fuck they want...

plus tea and coffee both taste disgusting, so why would anyone want to queue for ages for them anyway?

argh!

Yanbu

I avoid places like Starbucks but Greggs is just as bad especially in the morning. Waitrose free coffee gives me rage on the rare occasions I go (always with a coffee addict!)

If I have a Waitrose coffee I get it after my shopping. It's difficult to shop whilst juggling a cup of hot liquid and pretty unnecessary.

YANBU - when the kids were younger and I used to take them to soft play was one of the places where I'd be desperate for a coke fix and would have to wait forever for various types of coffees etc.. I also don't get the obsession with wandering about with coffee all the time (and iPhone in the other hand). Surely people don't need that much caffeine that they need to wander about half the day with a coffee.
Clearly if you go to Costa then it is expected that it may take a while due to the coffees being made - but soft play/zoos/farms etc.... it's annoying.
