To DH so I can clean up properly?

He tries to help and is useless, I like doing it my own way. DD is at nursery and he's not leaving till 10am

Ugh I want my freedom back.

He's off work till late next week. Has only been off 3 days and is already getting on my nerves.

So, DH, fuck off out so I can clean this house from top to bottom the way I like doing it!!

YANBU

I said those exact words to DH this morning.

Benedikte2 · 21/09/2016 11:44

Just all of you wait until your OHs retire! My poor DM, like so many women lost any freedom she had when my DF retired. He was underfoot in the house and when she told him she was off out to the shops etc he'd say "Just hang on a minute and I'll come with you. Then would get bored and want to do something else.
Encourage your DHs and DPs to take up a relatively inexpensive hobby for retirement for your own sanity.

That's so sad. DH and I do everything together - chores and fun. When he has a sabbatical to write, he's around a lot and it's brilliant. I can't imagine ever feeling he was under my feet. I can't wait for him to retire, but sadly there are decades to go.

PenileImplant · 21/09/2016 14:03

The Op said he watches her clean Hmm

Yes how lucky she is he 'helps'

God people have low standards. Glad you enjoyed the morning OP Grin

DH is currently between jobs and I work mostly from home at the moment, and I love it. We get to have lunch together and the occasional sex break when work allows, and general time to have a conversation without a four year old monopolising things. But then I can say, hand on heart, that neither of us has ever thought it would be a good idea to start cleaning the house at 8 am on any day, ever, regardless of who was arriving, so perhaps we're a different species.

blueturtle6 · 21/09/2016 14:45

I cam kind of see what you mean, I like to her all jobs done in morning then fun things in afternoon, chill in evenings. When DH on a late shift, it feels a little awkward.

thinkbeforeyoupost · 21/09/2016 16:58

Omg! You're alone at home with your husband, not kids, and you're worried about starting cleaning instead of enjoying a quality time together as a couple? Really?!?!?! ConfusedConfused

thinkbeforeyoupost · 21/09/2016 16:59

I meant, no kids*

Yorkieheaven · 21/09/2016 17:02

Shag him it's generally far more fun than cleaning.

PrincessOG16 · 21/09/2016 17:07

Look, chill out!. Grin

I shagged him! Wink

I clean early! Am washing down cupboards now! It leaves me a couple of hours in the afternoon to sit with tea and a book watching the dcs play.
