I thought the woo thread is about courting, until I read the thread and realised it's about woo as in ghosts!

Re. the YY question - I think on some forum codes (or maybe MSN messenger back in the day) typing YY brought up a thumbs up/head nodding icon. It just signifies agreement.

Does there exist anywhere a glossary of mumsnet abbreviations? There's loads of them I have no idea what they mean! For instance, what are HTH and TIA?

Well, first you should find out what RTFT means.

Read the fucking thread.

HTH

Biscuit have never used this until now, so never seen the word biscuit come up in relation too it.. Never understood the connotations when I've seen it on MN as I thought it was a sweet, similar to those in liquorice all sorts.

BTW, it's incredibly rude to ignore an entire thread and ask questions about things that have been mentioned several times.

Do that on MN and you'll get loads of RTFT replies. Without the helpful explanation.

So you can't have had that much interest to start with if you couldn't be arsed to RTFT.

It's a bit arrogant to just ignore what everyone else has already said and demand people just say it again for your benefit...because you can't be arsed reading what's already there

Me neither. I spend longer working out whether DS is Dear Son, Dear sister DN refers to their Nana, niece, nephew or neighbour that 9/10 I just give up.

I have no idea what any of the letters and numbers mean which is why I've never posted on here and often give up reading posts due to me not understanding some of the content.

DS3. Is that your third son or your son aged 3? 'DS3 has drawn all over the wall and smeared the contents of the cat's litter tray all over the carpet' will attract a different response if the 'DS' is three or is the third son who is 40.
