So, I'm in the swimming pool cafe and a family behind me are having lunch with a child who is either pre school or part time reception She's not eating the rest of her lunch, she's being shouted at and told that her daddy will smack her and that they will tell miss xxxx who will tell her that she is being naughty.
Her fruit has all gone, so they have said and they are now trying to encourage her to eat cake.

Poor child :(

Crocodillian I think he had already left and not been around for a while but had recently returned to the scene. Hence the child's desperation that he didn't leave again.

At the time, I asked the midwives to contact social services. They said they couldn't unless things escalated further. I wish I could see a happy long term outcome for the child...

I think threats to "tell a teacher" over home behaviour are utterly ridiculous.

Way to create an unhealthy relationship at school.

Poor little tot. Snippet or not threats of violence are never ok Sad
