To think that a nappy change isn't so urgent

that you need to do it in the middle of the school playground during the morning school run?

Now it's been a long time since I've done nappy changes on teenies (have had extended nappy use x 3 due to SN) but I really can't remember ever having to change their bums during the school run.

Granted I've had numerous poonami and poomaggeddon incidents with all 3 of mine but tbh that was a get home, strip off and under the shower job rather than a stop right where you are and change them scenario.

Baby in question wasn't even weaning age so wasn't stinky, certainly not hoiking judgy pants it was just a bit of an "eh? Really?" Odd things you see on the school run moment.

Prepared to be corrected that it was somehow completely necessary, of course. So please don't flay me alive Wink

Oh, and I know it's really small stuff and all but I've got a builder hosing a ceiling with sealant and with my asthma I'm not allowed in the room so mnetting for something to do whilst I wait...

I have changed DC in plenty of wierd and wonderful places, as mine were all very inventive about where and when to let go for maximum impact and inconvenience.

Still don't get the middle of a kids playground though.

I remember when my eldest was tiny having to change a dirty nappy in his pram at a bus station.
There was no changing facilities and unless people were happy to have the bus (for an hour) smelling of shit, it was the less of two evils.

Once - I could walk then Wink
I was much more able bodied. Only started using a wheelchair this year. DD also in a wheelchair so can't travel on a bus together! Just lucky we have a motability car I guess...

FrancisCrawford it is not a cold, wet day here. All depends what part of the country you are in.

Maybe the middle of the playground was more sheltered from the sun (or rain)?

Meh, i would've done it there and then as well i imagine. You're outside, at a place full of kids and parents, no smell getting trapped, no one needs look, small baby, get it over with quick on the spot.

I had to do DD4(2)s nappy in the middle of a busy park (Warwick) 2 weekends ago. I can't get down on the floor at the mo, my back is v.bad, so finding a secluded spot under a tree or whatever was out. The public loos were dirty so that left me with the park bench and lap option. It was just a wet one and i was quick. I probably got judged. I care not Grin
