So neighbours that are blasting music and screaming 'down it'!!And 'Drink'! In a marquee in their garden and getting louder by the minute!
People are actually screaming!! so I'm not being touchy but I have a 3yo ds that keeps waking up and it feels like the party is in my bedroom.

So aibu or are they taking the piss??

For future reference, most councils have a noise abatement officer. Might be worth asking for advice before it happens again, though I doubt if they're available on a Saturday night.

Yes mow the grass or send your kids out to play loudly.

Lorelei76 · 04/09/2016 10:41

it went on till 6 and you didn't call anyone?

I'd report to noise abatement so they at least have a record, that way if it happens again it will be easier to call someone out. We do have someone here on duty on Sat nights, then again I'm in London so if we didn't get help for this kind of thing I guess it would turn really ugly!

You can report them to the link I sent you, then they will write to your neighbour as a warning. They won't say the complaint is from you.

I remember the film Bad neighbours 1 and 2, you should watch it too maybe you can get some ideas. HeheGrin

Environmental noise people will come and take their stereo [old] and speakers if its over a certain level of noise

DesolateWaist · 04/09/2016 15:04

That assumes they are working at 6am Seals. I think many only do office hours.

They'll get a warning before taking equipment : www.gov.uk/guidance/noise-nuisances-how-councils-deal-with-complaints
