To put my Tassimo in the bedroom?

I've been thinking about moving the Tassimo into the bedroom, but have been told it's disgusting by a couple of people.
I can't help but fantasise about lattes on tap whilst lying in bed watching Netflix though! AIBU?

I have a one cup boiler, tea bags and individual milks.
It's like a hotel up there Grin

Travel kettle plus mug with milk, teabag/instant coffee and sugar if using. Cover mug and leave clean teaspoon beside it. Simple!

I was wondering what to do with my tassimo as we just got a new coffee machine for the kitchen. Problem solved Smile

We had a second one for xmas last year, so it went in the bedroom :)

MoonriseKingdom · 03/09/2016 08:10

You're living the dream OP Grin

I'm due a baby in a few weeks and go right off coffee in pregnancy. Enjoying a lovely cup of coffee is one of the things I am most looking forward to post pregnancy. My mum keeps asking what she can buy for the baby - maybe I should suggest a Tassimo for the bedroom.

PrimalLass · 03/09/2016 08:19

I don't get it tbh. Just get up. But I cannot lie in bed once awake, or even half awake Confused

PrimalLass · 03/09/2016 08:20

On the teasmaid thread someone suggested milk ice cubes.

BikeRunSki · 03/09/2016 08:22

I have a travel kettle and tin of teabags in the my bedroom. I bring up a little jug of milk every night, even in high summer it's fine in the morning. I'm allergic to coffee.

SendTheNextOneIn · 03/09/2016 08:23

I want to take my Tassimo to work and have it on my desk...

BikeRunSki · 03/09/2016 08:30

See Primal I can't just get up. I need a little while of coming round first. The moment I get up, I enter an onslaught of DC squabbling about socks, indecision about breakfast, hair and teeth brushing refusal etc. A cup of tea in bed for 10 mins sets me up for the day serenely. Even if the serenity only lasts 10 minutes!

thebakerwithboobs · 03/09/2016 08:33

Our coffee machine is in the bedroom and we set it to the timer so it makes us coffee at getup time. Best alarm clock.

m0therofdragons · 03/09/2016 08:35

We had our downstairs flooring done last year so coffee machine ended up in my bedroom. Loved it! Not convenient for when guests came over though... Maybe I need 2 machines?

ReginaBlitz · 03/09/2016 08:57

But won't you also need to move the kettle? Or am I missing something? I have to put hot water in mine first?

HoneyDragon · 03/09/2016 09:11

I have a Lavazza Mia modo Fantasia which is the best coffee maker in the world in the kitchen and a pod machine in my bedroom. Means on schooldays I can get ready and drink coffee before the kids start on me.

BruceBogtrotter101 · 03/09/2016 09:52

SendTheNextOneIn my boss has one in his office! I love going in for meetings to have a gossip

liz70 · 03/09/2016 10:26

"On the teasmaid thread someone suggested milk ice cubes."

Again, if you are in the UK, milk will not turn into cottage cheese overnight. Just leave it covered in a jug or cup/mug - it will be fine. Smile

liz70 · 03/09/2016 10:35

"Our coffee machine is in the bedroom and we set it to the timer so it makes us coffee at getup time. Best alarm clock."

Our tea and coffee did that, actually still does, only we don't use it anymore as we now sleep in the living room. Kitchen just next door so no point. It would bleep and then start brewing our tea and coffee, so it was ready a few minutes later.

HappyAxolotl · 03/09/2016 10:43

Where the heck else would you put a coffee machine but the bedside? There are some strange folk about!

PrimalLass · 03/09/2016 10:57

*BikeRunSki8 I used to be like that, but now sometimes I'm heading down the stairs with my eyes barely open. It's annoying.

cupofrooibos · 03/09/2016 11:00

Brilliant idea. I'd follow suit but OH hates coffee including the smell (Hmm) so would probably move out.

VeryBitchyRestingFace · 03/09/2016 11:01

I'm just a simple country girl.

I had to google Tassimo to see what it was. Blush

GinAndTunic · 03/09/2016 12:01

You should have what your heart desires. It's your bedroom and your happiness.

KoalaDownUnder · 03/09/2016 12:04

I could not.

My coffee machine doesn't do pods, and I don't like long-life milk. So unless I want coffee grounds everywhere in the sheets, I'm out of luck. Sad
