AIBU?

To think this is not how my Saturday night was supposed to go?

I've been on a non drinking week (yay me!). This involved being sober through a family party where they were all drinking lovely prosecco while I drank coffee. Painful.

So my 'reward' for good behaviour was that me and Dh were going to have a little drinkie tonight. I sat out in the garden until it got dark reading Cosmo and drinking nice wine, which was lovely, while Dh did some music practice and generally pottered.

I came indoors to a row between ds2 and DD. Separated them and got them into bed. DJ and I settled down to watch tv. I offered to get him a drink and he said he wasn't sure he wanted one. Half an hour later he got restless legs. The only way he has ever found to stop it is going to bed. We tried a walk around the garden, he had a shower, but it was no good.

He's gone to bed and I'm nursing the last glass of my bottle watching Netflix. What a waste of a bottle of wine.

Anyone else having a rock n roll bank holiday weekend? I feel like a right loser.

We're watching Coming to America. I am drinking wine, DP is drinking tea. It's not even a bank holiday here in Scotland.

We have a 4K jobby. It took me weeks to get used to. The walking dead was particularly hard to watch. But now I love it like one of my children. I've even upgraded Netflix to 4K. Totally worth it.

Omg I love that film!

I found Flight Of Dragons on dvd for ds2s birthday next month. I'm stupidly excited to watch it #nostalgia.

Oven man comes (fnar-fnar) a week Tuesday. £39.50 and no sexual favours... although I've not seen him yet Grin

Nice phone voice though.

How bad would it be to drink DH's ales now! He's snoring and I'm only half way through my episode of Lie to Me.

Drink em! You can say he drank them in his sleep if he asks

I got quoted 120 quid to have my oven cleaned! Fuck that.

£120???? You must have a MASSIVE oven!

Report
LumpyMcBentface · 27/08/2016 22:29

I'm going to. And I'll blame you.

£120? I'd want it to be cleaned naked for that. And not by fat Barry. I'd want fit Sean doing the job wearing an apron.

Names changed to protect the innocent.

Yes lumpy swallow that beer. I managed to neck 7 cans of DS's Bud this week and he never even noticed!

Soubriquet · 27/08/2016 22:30

I'll take the blame. I'm brave like that.

He did specifically say 'don't drink my beer'. But whatever. He's asleep.

No rock and roll in this house.
Watched casualty, drank most of a bottle of something white whilst listening to thousands of Festival goers having a great time at the huge event up the road.
We normally go to Notting Hill at the end of Aug....It's quieter than being here.

Honestly.. drink it. If he wonders where its gone, just say summat like... 'jeez you were hammering it last night love, you fell asleep so fast....'

Sleep drinking is a very serious thing to happen. Most people don't even realise they have done it and even suffer no after effects. It's amazing. Their friends and family end up suffering more.

You are setting yourself up for a rancid hangover with red wine and then that bath water you're drinking now!

He actually fell asleep on the living room floor last night, forgoing our usual Friday night shagging. This morning he told me he had been well up for it but I'd fallen asleep.

I reckon I can gaslight him right back with the mystery of the missing beer.

My Rock'n'Roll Weekend?
I haven't got out of my Leeeshure Robe today (zipped front velour sleeveless dress thingie) but I haven't been out apart from the garden and it's respectable enough for that.

I have a really painful calf muscle after waking up Fri morning with bad cramp (I walked round the shopping centre and IKEA yesterday to help ease it) Kept waking up with the "Oooh don't move, avoid cramp" fear.

DH was Googling the symptoms of DVT ( thanks Dr Google) but it's not that. He cheerfully told me I had none of the risk factors (I knew that anyway) but I'm not having Tonic water I can't abide it.

White wine! So I reckon I'll be ok.

Dh is a naturally early riser so I always get the lie ins. Hangover schmangover.
