AIBU?

To think this is not how my Saturday night was supposed to go?

I've been on a non drinking week (yay me!). This involved being sober through a family party where they were all drinking lovely prosecco while I drank coffee. Painful.

So my 'reward' for good behaviour was that me and Dh were going to have a little drinkie tonight. I sat out in the garden until it got dark reading Cosmo and drinking nice wine, which was lovely, while Dh did some music practice and generally pottered.

I came indoors to a row between ds2 and DD. Separated them and got them into bed. DJ and I settled down to watch tv. I offered to get him a drink and he said he wasn't sure he wanted one. Half an hour later he got restless legs. The only way he has ever found to stop it is going to bed. We tried a walk around the garden, he had a shower, but it was no good.

He's gone to bed and I'm nursing the last glass of my bottle watching Netflix. What a waste of a bottle of wine.

Anyone else having a rock n roll bank holiday weekend? I feel like a right loser.

Best thing for you to do, gives you time to think too, don't forget.

Thank you :) I'll survive, I'm giving him some time to figure things out. Not really much more I can do.

Can't bloody sleep myself, don't even have jet lag as an excuse.

I'm still in insomnia city. Everyone has jet lag. All the kids woke up an hour ago and parade through the room every time I close my eyes. Jealous of the sexes. I just have snoring and kids.

I did the sex. But stoopid Dh insists on black out blinds and an all black bed. And it was ever so dark. So instead of sexily waking him up in a slithery type way I basically stubbed my toe, said fuck a lot and hut his shin.

Probably not. But, hey, I'm doing ok.

Night night.

I don't want to be a party pooper, but aren't you on medication for your bipolar disorder? Are you really sure you should have been drinking so much?

I'm not annoyed with him. We've just done the sex. So it's all good in the hood. Just having my last fag and then I'm off to sleep.

hang on, you've drank a bottle of wine and three beers in one night? it's a bit excessive.

I'm not sure why it's a problem that your DH didn't want to have a drink. Maybe you had plans to have drinks together but I don't think your enjoyment of anything should be dependent on someone else drinking.

I might be a bit biased because I've had a bad relationship with an alcoholic who got angry whenever I went to bed but I think your DH has done nothing wrong and you shouldn't be annoyed with him.

I'm listening to a festival that's 6 fucking miles away. I wouldn't mind so much if the music was decent but it's thumping shite.

Well, when I say underground stations - I mean the ones connected to main train lines as I thin they are the only ones with toilets (and rubbish ones they are). Avoid them anyway if you can!

I drink loads of water so always looking for bladder stops. I find London a good place for this as toilets everywhere (department stores, bars, hotels).
Underground stations too, but make sure you have silver as they charge of course (the toilets stink / and as if they are not making enough money).

I'm taking DD to London tomorrow.
She's planning what she's going to wear.
I',m planning where the toilets are (I have a Menopausal Bladder due to all the water I drink and Diverticulitis) so I need to know.

At work I bagsy the Enhanced Space staff loo and mutter that I have an invisible bowel disorder (so don't argue with me) at anyone whoi just tries to pop in because its nearer.

Restless legs are horrid. I find drinking water helps, as its worse when I'm dehydrated.
I have also found that my legs go feral just before my period. I'm sure this won't help your husband with his - but it is terrible.
The worst case I had lasted three full nights. I barely slept for best part of a week.

Shepherd Neame brew some lovely ales. Zombie must however take exception to their claim to be Britain's oldest brewer (1698) as The Three Tuns brewery in Bishop's Castle started brewing in 1642 and continue to do so in the same premises.

DH just came down. Looked at my empty pint glass and made a catsbumface. I said, actually, this is my first kid free night in a while (DS2 usually co sleeps but is in with ds1 tonight), I've got through an awful family do where everyone was sniping at everyone,
and actually i'd just like a drink and some peace.

He's gone back to bed.

I've also just Google imaged back braces to show you lot, and they all look ok, nowhere near the heavy, restrictive thing I'm stuck in.

I'm watching my beloved 1D on the YouTube.
Waiting up for midnight to wish DD happy birthday, she's 15, she doesn't live here atm, her behaviour got way out of control.

Restless legs is caused by a drop in magnesium. I take a supplement before bed because the meds I'm on cause a drop in magnesium and it drives me nuts. Eat a banana before bed or get some supplements OP
