AIBU to think my DH is a c@*t?

My DH asked his deceased mum's partner (who is 75) to come and help him refit our bathroom. The partner, B, drove from Devon to our home in the New Forest on Sunday.
I have been at work since Sunday night (a 64-hour duty! That's life in the NHS, folks!) and came home this morning to find B working hard in the bathroom and DH is in bed looking at his iPad! What???

It seems that because B is not prepared to do a half-arsed, slap dash job (DH's preferred way of working), DH has had a strop and has left B to get on with it.
Poor B is working so hard - on his knees, up and down the stairs, heavy lifting etc - and I feel mortified that he's been left to it. I asked DH what they had eaten and he said he bought some sausage rolls from Morrissons for him. And not even the bakery ones - the crap Value six pack.
I said I'd make a lasagne tonight so poor B would have a decent (ish) meal after a day of hard work. Mid way through preparing it, DH announces he's driving to Oxford to collect a storage box for his bike (that he hasn't ridden for SEVEN years).
Jesus Christ. I could fucking kill him. Who treats an elderly man like this?
This is not the behavior of a kind man. I think I hate him. AIBU?

I'd call him a cunt but he lacks the warmth and the depth...
He's behaved abominably. I'd find it hard to have any respect for him after that. What a fucknugget wanksplat.

Horrible man.

Agree with pp - move in with B, he sounds lovely.

Cherrysoup · 24/08/2016 20:15

Asked for sex after that shift? Is he insane?! Hope you told him to FRO. What a twat.

ClopySow · 24/08/2016 21:43

Massive arsehole. Not a cunt though, cunts are quite nice really.

April229 · 24/08/2016 22:02

Shake up with the old timer, he sounds lovely. Then change to locks ;)

April229 · 24/08/2016 22:10

*shack, not shake ;)

LogicallyLost · 24/08/2016 22:29

Why are you with him? Seriously..... No really. ;)

yorkshapudding · 24/08/2016 22:40

He is indeed a massive, gaping cunt. Those value sausage rolls are shit.

B sounds like an absolute sweetheart.

PerpendicularVincent · 24/08/2016 23:04

What a twat. I'm not surprised you resisted his revolting kind offer of sex.

B sounds great, is he ok?

Sleep, enjoy your time with your parents and ignore the useless lump of flesh that calls itself your DH.

JudyCoolibar · 24/08/2016 23:25

He sounds like my FIL. He got his own FIL, then in his late 70s, to come round to do some work in the kitchen and left GFIL to do all the most difficult bits including anything that involved climbing. Inevitably, GFIL fell off - but, with great poetic justice, luckily he wasn't hurt because he fell on FIL who broke his leg. FIL just couldn't understand why no-one sympathised with him.

VoteyMcVoteFace · 24/08/2016 23:31

Not quite the point, but . . . where is there a Morrison's in the New Forest??

Drivingforpeace · 24/08/2016 23:37

wow, I just want to say I am shocked at the hours you are working in the NHS. Thank you for all you do.

SouthWindsWesterly · 24/08/2016 23:42

What a twat!

Him, not you.

You're a fucking life saver 👍🏻

Your husband sounds like a lazy arse. How sad your elderly FIL is more of a man than your 'd'h!

ohfourfoxache · 25/08/2016 00:15

Christ I'd be beyond mortified if he was my DH Shock

Poor B Sad

hazeimcgee · 25/08/2016 01:22

Is this typical of his usual behaviour? As in is he normally a selfish, ignorant, unsensitive, idiot? If so i'd seriosuly consider why i'm married to him!!

I'd spend any money intended for DH's Christmas present on B and make it clear why

ThatGhastlyWoman · 25/08/2016 08:59

I doubt the bike is even rideable after 7 years. Especially if he's lazy about maintenence. He does sound like an utter tool. Can you get custody of your FIL in the divorce?
