I'm expecting DC2 in a few weeks time, I already have a DD(2) and am excited to be having a little boy this time.

However, pretty much anyone who asks the sex of the baby replies with some variation on the thread title. I largely brush it off, but it's starting to make me slightly nervous, esp as DD has always been quite 'easy' (relatively speaking).

AIBU to think (hope) that not all boys will be more difficult than girls? Or am I being hopelessly naive?!

Ds was a very easy baby, fun and quiet child and now chilled teenager. Never was boisterous at all, never a ball of energy but I'm the same way.
It's just something to say.

I have a seriously lovely 2 year old ds. He adores being read to and doing puzzles. Yes he does like climbing on me too! He is affectionate and sweet.

My friend's little girl is a similar age. After she has visited my house looks like a hurricane has been through it!

Not sure it is about gender.

I have three girls here on a sleep over and I'd swap for 3 boys anyday.girls get everything out and so loud and giggly.

Boys just play on the Xbox no mess. Minimal noise. Love it.

I have one of each and I'd say boys harder ages 3-7 as so manic but otherwise girls harder but lovely in a different way.

Boys are fab, and adorable.. My nephew is amazing. He's a real little ball of mischief and fun, and very loving.
However I obviously speak as his auntie rather than his mum.
