Basically I told my friend I've not gone outside South East England for 11 years and she was shocked. Aibu to think that this isn't unusual. I just don't like the UK much prefer rest of Europe.

And as a Yorkshirewoman born and partly bred, I'm a bit surprised that people are so keen on God's own country as a holiday destination.

I wish I could faithfully recall all of the places we went, but I can't (husband is the architect of all road trips) - but it was so, so beautiful and perfect weather. I know there's a fair bit of luck to the latter. Wink

I think that London does cheap/good better than NYC.

I can't agree with that either, but if you know where to go you can find some great and cheap places in London too.

I'm going to England for my "summer" holidays. My summer is Dec-Feb, my children have the whole of January off school. I can't wait for grey skies and wrapping up with hot chocolate by the fire. Summer is overated, bring on the "crap" weather!

Up to you and why shouldn't you.

Personally I hate Paris and some parts of Europe generally are OK others stunning but prefer England/Wales. Never been to Scotland.

There isn't a law op.do what suits you.
