To be sad the Olympics have finished

i think it's just what we needed after Brexit. We have done so well and feel really proud to be British tonight. I will also miss all the sports I don't normally watch but really enjoy. My best bits.... Watching the track cycling and Mo Farah winning his races. Also watching Nick Skelton win a gold in the equestrian event after breaking his back and having a hip replacement. We did good!!

Really enjoyed the Olympics this year and can't wait for the Paralympics to begin. Ideally, I think all soaps and reality tv shows should be relegated to one channel so they can be avoided.

I've absolutely loved it but part of me is a little relieved that I can at least now get back to something approaching a normal sleeping pattern That and not having to agonise over watching the Olympics or the rugby!!

I really enjoyed it and am missing the catch up day programmes - keep flicking the remote looking for something to watch.

I am looking forward to the Paralympics, I am furious that they have spent money which should have been allocated to travel for various para teams.

It's a miracle the games went as we as they did - I don't think they should have been given to Rio.

We've really enjoyed it. Watched allsorts as we did in 2012. Looking forward to the paralympics too (someone from celebrity first dates is competing iirc).

It was awesome and I'm sad it's over.

I think this should be the forerunner of future Olympics. I loved the opening and closing ceremonies with the Eco theme. Amazingly produced on a tenth of the budget that London cost. And how people can say it's not a patch on the London ceremony, have you forgotten the embarrassment that was Paul McCartney? Getting bigger and better each time is not sustainable and every country has better ways to spend its millions not just Brazil. Is the Olympic organisation rich? If so, it can help with the Paralympic mess.

I didn't like knowing the results of the athletics before the catch-ups the following day but then that's normal with hosts that have completely different time zones to ourselves. Will miss it!

YANBU! I love it, I've watched every games since I was 8 and we're already pondering the Tokyo trip.

At least the Paralympics gives me something to watch next month...

Our Paralympic team are going to be awesome. And I cannot believe we're second in the medal table. Go and buy another lotto ticket and support 2020!!!
