Just read back what you have typed before hitting Post, for fuck's sake.

And if you made a typo that doesn't render the meaning completely indecipherable please don't write another post with *correction. We get what you meant, just leave it.

Lurkedforever1 Grin That hurt my brain. 😂

NeedACleverNN · 20/08/2016 20:21

My autocorrect is out to get me

Seriously

I type a lovely post. It is spelt correct and looks good. Click post and suddenly words change Angry

It is not good

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 20/08/2016 20:21

Your baboon is trifle bendable

TheGruffaloMother · 20/08/2016 20:23

DON'T FUCKING GET SHIT WRONG BUT ALSO DON'T CORRECT YOURSELF IF YOU DO! IT IRRITATES ME!

Wink

Your autocorrect really likes the word 'post'. It treats it like a proper noun.

Grin I think the autocorrect fail was deliberate and this is all a lighthearted joke eh op ?

LucyFuckingPevensie · 20/08/2016 20:31

Oh the irony, I deliberately made mistakes and buggering auto correct sorted them right out.
Damn you auto correct you smarmy wanker.

NeedACleverNN · 20/08/2016 20:33

I love that Lucy Grin

You try to make mistakes and it gets corrected. You don't want a mistake and it happens! Sod's law

Highlandfling80 · 20/08/2016 20:35

What treacle said. My phone does that. Yabu.

LucyFuckingPevensie · 20/08/2016 20:36

I am at war with my electronic appliances - they hate me. Especially the evil auto correct that lies within. Honestly, it changes words as soon as I press send.

blue2014 · 20/08/2016 20:37

But I love autocorrect - it's frequently hilarious (yes, I have a weird sense of humour)

SurfBored73 · 20/08/2016 20:38

An interesting mix of replies. Some kind of missing the point and some who have been waiting for a post from me for weeks so they could get in a little dig about something they disagreed with before. Funny.

I'm really not losing any sleep over this. I make typos but I just let them pass because I assume everyone else is able to understand my meaning, I don't feel the need to go back and correct them. Same when other people have typos in their posts - why go and correct them when we all get it anyway? I'll admit the pedant in me is riled when I see the there/their/they're crossovers but I never point it out in a superior way because that's a bit silly.

I've never seen autocorrect (or is it Autocorrect?) make changes after thinking about it for a while but happy to accept that happens if some people say it does.

Davos, I'm really, really, really not having a pop at disabled people. Fuck knows how you've reached that conclusion.

I'm quite fond of autocorrect without it we wouldn't have 'weeping bicycle monkey's my kindle has the worst autocorrect since the dawn of time I really should switch it off.

SurfBored73 · 20/08/2016 20:43

Pevensie, of course it's light-hearted. Not exactly the Muslim debate, is it?!

Did you put the capital P or was that autocorrect...?

ohidoliketobe · 20/08/2016 20:50

Fat fingers. Small mobile phone screen. Long post. Multitasking whilst typing = high liklihood of a couple of typos.

CBA to proof read. I could. But often threads move on at such a fast pace you've got to get your point in quick

NeedACleverNN · 20/08/2016 20:59

Waiting weeks to have a dig at you?

I don't even recognise your user name from other threads

SurfBored73 · 20/08/2016 21:04

Just to be clear - everyone makes mistakes, there's just no need to lengthen a popular thread by forty posts that say "bloody autocorrect" or with a single asterixed word when the meaning was perfectly clear.

Navy - hi Wink

No, I meant that your mistake was a deliberate piss take at your op. In a lighthearted way to poke fun at the po folk on here.

Unless it was ?

Ninasimoneinthemorning · 20/08/2016 21:10

Honestly - why the fuck do you care so much?

It's not a big deal. Drink wine Wine

Ninasimoneinthemorning · 20/08/2016 21:13

On my auto correct if I type 'Danny' (my friends Ex) it comes out as 'Fanny'
