Feeling slightly anxious, not as much as DD though, who does not want to talk about it.

Plan B ideas for a back up, or AIBU to be thinking this way?

shove thank-you. Yes I think the problem is it doesn't work like clearing because the info they have access to is wrong! They can only act on what they have.
Hopefully it will get sorted in due course.
Friends coming over for pre going out drinks in a few hours but dd feels a bit in limbo.
They're getting a taxi to go out at ten. That's when I want to be getting a taxi to come home!!!!!

Yesssssss!!!! They've accepted the error and so they have to give her a place!!!!! Soo happy. Thanks for your support x

Fantastic news justdont - hope that DD has a great night out tonight!!

justdontevenfuckingstart · 18/08/2016 18:23

Aaaaargh she has to reject her offer from 2nd choice so she can go to clearing so she can get 1st choice. (they've explained obviously it's not clearing but it goes through that system) better not go tits up!
Yup she was a bit subdued and said she'd have a couple.
She'll get shit faced now I expect.

VanillaSugar · 18/08/2016 18:50

Ugh, DD missed her offer by 8 marks in one subject but got 2 A and an A in the others. One of the A is the general paper, though so her uni doesn't count that. She's over exceeded her insurance place so she's in limbo - accept 2nd offer or reapply next year? The paper has gone off to be reviewed.

I need gin.

justdontevenfuckingstart · 18/08/2016 18:52

Oh vanilla, am off to the shop to get more wine. Will get you some gin.

OrlandaFuriosa · 18/08/2016 19:16

I shall drink in sympathy . This is All far too wearing.

LobsterQuadrille · 18/08/2016 19:22

Damnit, I've been in AA too long to contemplate that so it'll have to be chocolate. I'm with you in spirit though (no pun intended).

Losingthewill8 · 15/08/2018 20:55

Good luck to all. I have been told that school get them today, is that true, or is it late tonight that they get them?

SubtitlesOn · 15/08/2018 21:01

I am massively anxious for all my pupils getting results tomorrow. It is such a huge moment for them. I will be in from 7.30am in case they need me, hoping so much that they all get what they want.

I am really proud of all of them. My plan B is just to do whatever we can that they need.

MrsDesireeCarthorse · 15/08/2018 21:04

P.S. yes the school gets results 1-2 days before. Sadly I cannot access them until tomorrow. Not sure if this is law or just because our exams officer is fucking useless.

This is a zombie thread....Although appropriate!

dancinfeet · 15/08/2018 23:20

good luck to all your DCs for tomorrow! We are exploring plan C and plan D at the moment. Hoping for good results for my DD for tomorrow, but she is not going to Uni this year - planning some sort of year out - either working full time, or doing a 1 year vocational college course - of which she is undecided!! Organised we are not, but she seems far less stressed than most of her friends who are heading to Uni in a few weeks.

Losingthewill8 · 16/08/2018 07:30

Thank you. Good luck!
