They sent me 2 packs of rotten raspberries with caterpillars on them in my shop.

I phoned up but the lady couldn't speak English properly so she couldn't understand what I was trying to tell her.

In the end I hung up and decided to email instead. I also requested through a separate online request for an email. Despite an automated email saying they would respond within 48 hours, it has been 4 days and no response to my complaint. My refund has also not been issued.

I've sent them another complaint but I'm losing faith that I'm going to get a reply.

I've been a customer since I've been an adult who does her own food shop but won't be buying from them again as they give me rotten fruit and then don't care to respond to my complaints. BLOODY GITS!

To those saying never waited for refund, I have been escalating daily and its been two weeks....

Vickyyyy · 17/08/2016 14:39

I stopped doing online shopping for this very reason. We did one 80 quid shop and we were sent rotten fruit, and all the meat and such we ordered was due to go off the next day, which is no bloody use.

One of my mates now works for tesco packing up the online orders and says they are told to pick the stuff that is due to go off very soon for people who order online. I can well believe it given my experiences, but to send EVERYTHING on the order due to go off the next day is taking the piss a bit...

I never received shopping
All of your shopping or specific items?

PregnantAndEngaged · 17/08/2016 17:41

No, PersianCatLady, I do not believe being angry with Asda is ridiculous, even though granted it was not as disastrous as not receiving my shopping.. The shopping arrived last Tues and I applied for a refund on Thurs.

Vicky :O That explains the constant shit dates. I do tend to freeze lots of things though including meat so doesn't make a huge difference; it's just hings like bread, milk, yoghurt that' a pain.. you expect it to last longer than a day! I heard Ocado's dates are really good but you expect it for their prices.

Persian, I didn't get any of the shopping, argued with them for four days they said they'd delivered, but wouldn't give me proof, said it had been delivered 1 hour and 16 mins before delivery slot.when i was miles away...still have got explanation of what happened to shopping....

blueturtle - some other person has taken in and signed for your order! Cheeky buggers.
I would go through " Revolver" which is a brilliant website for getting these things sorted. You give them details which gets put into a template email and gets sent to the relevant person. They prompt you and then escalate it further for you.

The ASDA refund button does have a short date reason code. I don't mind stuff being wrong actually . I get money back and get to keep the food. You don't get that when you return stuff in store.

So working on the 3-5 working days for a refund rule you should get your refund by the end of the day.

Let us know what happens.

Now that is worth getting really angry about. Have you tried asking any of your neighbours about it?

I do that too, if it says that it should come with 5 days until the BBE date and it only comes with 3 days I request a refund as it is not what I ordered and they refund me the money and we just eat it sooner.

Asdas customer service call centre are useless!

Call the store direct, and they are usually very helpful. I've had to do this a few times.

blueturtle6 · 18/08/2016 17:18

No one else at the address, surely if someone came up and said they'd take it in the delivery guy would've put a note through, also suspect he didn't deliver as when do they ever deliver early...what made it worse was I am recovering from surgery on leg and couldn't carry anything heavy or walk to far. I rang the store 8 times......eventually asked to speak to manager, but they can't do much it seems and I'm still waiting....
