that the sale price should be the same as the price "WEBUYANYCAR.COM" offers????????

Just seen a car for sale on my street for £2500. Put registration into webuyanycar.com and it's saying it will give me £1,080 for it!!!!!!!!

So how come the owner is asking for £2500?

I don't get it.

OP. This is easy. Just don't buy it.

Good luck with your car search.

What Cabrinha said was me when I sold to them. Car was 10 years old, done a lot of miles for its age, and a leak had developed during a few weeks of wet weather. I didn't use it much any more by that time so it took about three weeks for me to realize, by which time the entire interior was so damp it had mould growing. Not kidding. If I had tried to sell privately I would have almost certainly had to endure an army of time-wasters, even if I was honest about the condition. Also as I'm too tight to buy a parking permit it is parked a couple of streets away so viewings a headache, sometimes I could catch a bus to my car. I'm not sure I'd wish the car on anyone who didn't know what they were getting into. I decided I used it so rarely it wasn't worth the cost of repairs. I brushed the mould off but WBAC factor in a 10 year old Skoda being in ropey condition so they didn't knock anything off anyway. I got £275 and skipped across the car park with narry a backward glance. Now have bus pass and car club membership. All that's missing from life is a grown up kick scooter.

WBAC offered to buy my old car for £100, I was offered £1000 trade in on a 2 yr old car or £3000 trade in on a brand new car.

No prizes for guessing which offer I took. Grin

We buy any car is like Mazuma Mobile or Cash4Gold. They offer a convenient service (quick money/sale) but offer less money than a private buyer would.

Have you heard of 'sliced bread' OP? Wink

I wanted to scrap our old car, wbac offered £50, we got £150 from a local scrap dealer.

hellsbellsmelons · 07/09/2016 12:52

this website should give you a better idea of what the car is actually worth.

whywonthedgehogssharethehedge · 07/09/2016 12:54

People sell to we buy any car to get rid of stuff quickly and easily. If you buy from we buy any car it will cost you probably what that private seller is asking.

We buy any car buy stuff cheap and sell it on for profit. If you hope to BUY at we buy any car prices you are going to be very disappointed.

bloodynoris · 07/09/2016 12:57

No cex offer silly amounts of money as it's quick and easy and then they sell on. We tried it for our Clio and was offer £255 for an 09 Clio in very good condition. We then tried to part exchange it and they offered us £1400 ended up selling it private at £2450 so glad I didn't take they offer.
