My (generally v attention seeking) colleague did a DM sad face article recently too. It was all about a particular gynecological health issue and how she's terrified she will lose her job due to it. It struck me as a bit odd to go on about it in the national press, and now whenever I see her I can't help but immediately think of her 'issue'. Sure I'm not the only one. She did another one all about her sex life a while back - again, not what I wanted to know! She is clearly planning on becoming the next Samantha Brick if she gets the sack .

I'm back. Just about. Thought it was the Halloween one.

I did one last year, I refused to be photographed for it as I wasn't doing the Daily Mail sad face. It was about my little boys death, I gave them the pictures I wanted using.

When I knew them as a child, an enduring memory was of them < look away if squeemish > putting their tongue on their dogs butt hole for a £5 bet

That would give you a face.

A friend of mine did a local paper sad face radical about an illness she'd had. It was to support some fundraising she was doing. The DM, Sun etc picked it up and ran it, minus the future draining. She'said she wasn't paid by them.

You'd think she would do a happy face her potentially life threatening condition was discovered thanks to Holby!

There's several different pictures in each newspaper so it doesn't seem to just be a copy and paste job.

An old colleague of mine had her wedding ruined by Barack Obama. She did a really good sad face but I don't think it made it outside of the local newspapers.

If it raises awareness, as this will do re melanomas, then fair enough. She could have chosen a more ethical paper - but then what more ethical paper would run this sort of story?

My in laws did this. They also insisted on having their picture taken with my two nephews (SIL's kids) even though they had absolutely nothing to do with the story (was some finance thing). They adore the daily mail and now every time FIL thinks a company or organisation has "wronged" him in some way (this happens on a weekly basis) he tweets the daily mail. I think he's desperate for a second shot at the sad face.

Fucks sake my friend did this a few years ago when the news of the world was still about, she has also done similar articles in woman and rake X break. Proper cringed, no shame, she got paid several hundred pounds for them. Considers it an income!

I also know of a takeabreaker but as you can see, I live in Wolverhampton. Less of the classy.
