To go to A&E or wait for doctor's appointment in a week's time

I am really worried I have ovarian cancer. I have all the symptoms which have been getting worse over the last 2 weeks. Today I have fainted twice (have never fainted before in my life) and have awful stabbing pains low down to one side. I've taken the max painkillers today and am still stooped over. DH says A&E but I think they won't be able to do anything and I just need to wait for a dr's referral.

Any advice please?

Might be an ovarian cyst? I had one which was quite painful but benign.

When I had a fall and hit my head I was told I could be alone (concussion) and although he missed half a day's pay he did manage to come home.

Just joining in with the crowd saying get the ambulance and go to hospital. Yes, you may feel like a wally, but better a live wally than a dead martyr... hrm, that was meant to come out more lighthearted but it sounds like I'm being mean. I don't mean to be mean but us women can be really bad at prioritising our wellbeing and we - YOU - shouldn't. Get yourself checked out.

Just to say I had lesser symptoms than yours and ended up having an emergency appendix operation a few hours later. Don't muck about and get seen.

I hope you turn out to be ok, but you need checking, no doubt about it.

I managed to convince myself I had ovarian cancer last year, I had all the symptoms and the blood test for it (CA125) even came back positive, BUT, I did not and do not have it. Instead I have fibroids, which the blood test can also be an indicator for. I am going through the change, so the fibroids are not affecting me like they were anymore either.

Have just been seen and waiting for some painkillers. Doc can't feel anything untoward and I have no tenderness anywhere so unlikely to be appendicitis. Pregnancy test negative. He thinks it's likely to be symptoms from my implant or possibly IBS. He said ovarian cancer is unlikely at my age but I should have some blood tests including the one specific to ovarian cancer and then possibly a scan if anything in the bloods is abnormal or if the severe pain continues. He said painkillers and hot water bottle overnight unless I'm in agony and then GP appointment tomorrow to take the next steps. Still worried but slightly reassured.

Poor DC are asleep outside in the car with DH. They wondered what on earth was going on when we loaded them up. DS 2 asked if we were going to the moon.

Are they scanning you? I had ovarian cysts misdiagnosed as appendicitis, then ectopic pregnancies. They caused serious problems.
