Flip flops

What is it with flip flops? the toe-post ones. Everyone round here wears them; I can't bear the bloody things. They hurt between my toes and make the front of my shins ache with the effort of trying to keep them on. My DD has been pestering me for some, bought her a pair today and she can't walk in the bloody things and her toes are all red, so clearly it isn't just me. So what is it, is there a technique or something? Or a pain threshold I have to get through? And why, anyway? Yucky feet on show and absolutely no support at all. Harrumph.

If you really find you can't keep them on easily then the ones with the ankle strap are much easier.

I'm with you OP.
Hate things between my toes.
I have a lovely pair of flip flops.
But I manage about 2 hours and then I have to get them off.

I have the crocband flips in a couple of colours and they are incredibly comfortable, I walk for miles and miles in them.
Can't get on with Birkenstocks though at all

I love flip flops! My favourite are a pair from Gap men's range and I've had them forever.

When I split up with my first serious boyfriend the first thing I bought for myself was a pair of flip flops because he hated them with a passion and wouldn't let me wear them!

I bought a pair from Animal a couple of years ago with a fabric toe post. They're the only ones I can wear comfortably, and then I only really mooch about indoors in them

I'm not keen on feet so I usually wear ballet flats or pumps - I hate my toes so prefer them covered

Not everyone has ugly scabby feet, mine are lovely & moisturised with polished nails so actually quite lovely Wink

My decal end cousin wears flip flops in the snow to work as an athletic trainer. I never wear them, as they hurt my feet. Besides, they are inappropriate for nearly all occasions.

I decided to invest in some Havianhas this year and they were so comfy compared to other pairs i have had.
Only ones I can wear too.
I've got the day off and am currently waiting for my pedi to dry. One pair of these in my bag for walking home despite the rain

My feet aren't scabby, (I get the hard skin taken off and regularly moisturise and paint my nails, so there!) and TBH I hate seeing grotty feet in flipflops.

I second Havianas and Reefs, so comfortable. If it was warmer in winter and I didn't suffer from cold feet, I would wear flipflops all year round, I love them.
