I am lusting over the dyson hairdryer. I do have long hair that I have to wash and blow dry daily so if i calculated it as cost per use im sure its economical! (can you tell im trying to convince myself)

Has anyone bought one? Is it worth the extra money? Will i notice a huge difference from my babyliss one? Its my birthday soon and i keep leaving the page open on the John Lewis website for DH to see!

If I thought it would make my hair look amazing I would buy it.

OP, your hair already looks amazing, I'm not sure you need it! Smile but do come back and review.

FWIW to anyone, I'm buying the Dyson AM09 Hot & Cool fan tomorrow online. When it arrives I'll let you know what I think if anyone is interested. DC and I looked at it in shops. DC said "I think you should get it mummy, it has a remote with lots of good buttons". Well, that convinced me.

GrinMy son loves the remote on it also!

So I picked up mine yesterday and blow dried last night. I'm impressed. Not massively, but enough to keep it. It's really fast. It cut my drying time from 40 to 25 minutes. The result is That my hair is a bit softer, shinier etc but the best part is that it lasts.

Normally when I blow dry my hair, the fizziness starts to creep back after a few hours but that doesn't happen with the dyson. My hair still looks good from last night's blowdry and I've been out in the wind and been for a run.

So I would say if you have difficult hair, spend a lot of time blow drying and can afford it- go for it! Would love to hear others' verdicts too if you have bought one.

How's about buying a very nice hairdryer for £80 & donating the other £220 to Save the Children?
How about you forgoing every single little luxury you ever have and donating it to the RSPCA?
(See now how unreasonable your post sounded)

Well.... For anyone thing of getting the AM09 fan / heater mentioned up thread, it's fantastic in every way (v quiet, v effective, looks good) EXCEPT after one night of use it has developed an annoying clicking sound every time it oscillates fully left and fully right.

It's getting returned to Dyson so they can send a replacement!

Bloody annoying to spend all that money and have it not work!

The Dyson hairdryer is definitely worth the money, it's got a ridiculous amount of benefits and is so much better than any other hairdryer on the market! I actually wrote a review of it features.shopomo.com/health-beauty/hair-care/5-best-hair-styling-products-gorgeous-hair/ I hope it helps! :)

I want this hairdryer.

So how are people who've bought this a couple of weeks ago getting on now? Still loving it?

I have curly/frizzy hair that only really goes properly curly if I don't blow dry it and just let it dry naturally. But then it is also a bit frizzy and wild. It's very, very thick. It does look nice with some curls, though, rather than just long and thick and wiry and kind of straight (it doesn't do the sleek, smooth, straightened look unless the hairdresser does the straightening, which takes forever as there are so many sections).

Will this mean I could dry it and have it all shiny and smooth, but still with curls in? (Like Kate Middleton hair!).

I can't really convince myself that it would be worth it. Mostly I can't be bothered to wash my hair all that often, because it takes so long to dry, but it always looks better the day I do. And I suspect I would buy this, telling myself that it would mean I'd do it more often, but it the end I probably would still choose to sleep a few more minutes instead. Unless it gave me Kate's hair, and then maybe I would get up.

I know someone who has the T3, Parlux, GHD and this and she rates the T3 over all of them.

KC225 · 22/08/2016 19:03

What is a T3?

Allthingscat · 22/08/2016 19:07

I have a T3 and I love it!!
