To be worried I have a baggy vagina?

Well the name says it all I'm a regular and I've name changed for obvious reasons

I've always assumed I was tight down there....have 3 kids youngest is 2, but have had planned c sections every time and always done my pelvic floor exercises since I was a teenager

Until tonight when I had a bounce on the kids trampoline and LEAKED

Not proper full on wee but a definite dribble to which I had to go change my under wear

And now I'm paranoid I have a baggy fanny (sorry Blush but there really is no other way of saying it)

I did actually need a wee at the time by the way so prob didn't help

I'm a virgin and it occasionally happens to me, under rare circumstances.

SylvieB74 · 19/07/2016 02:37

This happens to most people now and then. It happened to my 12 year old the other day, at school 😀 She weed on her skirt 😕

winewolfhowls · 19/07/2016 06:42

Anyone else clenching as they read?!

Sniv · 19/07/2016 07:15

Ok three babies, your pelvic floor has held three babies. That's not to be sneezed at

Well, not unless you want to go change your knickers again Grin

RhiWrites · 19/07/2016 08:23

OP if you're really worried you can always do kegels.

TrampolinePisser · 19/07/2016 09:07

thanks for the replies

In answer to a poster who asked, I am not overweight, I am quite skinny

What are Kegels? Arent they the same as pelvic floor exercises?

I just really really do not want a loose lady garden!!

Winewolfhowls - am definitely clenching...

PollyPerky · 19/07/2016 11:09

Not sure why the OP is being given such a hard time when it's clear there is some truth in what she's describing.

Vaginal prolapse and leaking bladders often go together. Pelvic floor muscles support everything- bladder, bowels and uterus. The urethra has a valve at the top where is joins the bladder. If this valve sags and opens under pressure (like jumping or running) then that's when leakage happens. Having good strong muscles in your pelvic floor and your vagina helps prevent leaks. The urethra is situated alongside the front vaginal wall - look at diagrams of female anatomy. All the bits are joined together. The urethra doesn't float around in the pelvis- it's physically joined to the vagina. So if the vagina sags, the urethra tends to as well.

Treatment for incontinence in older women (post menopause)can include vaginal estrogen cream which is absorbed into the urethra and bladder tissues to strengthen them all. A toned vagina reduces the risk of leakage.

OP if you are on Twitter you can follow @gussiegrips a physio who will prompt you to do your PF exercises.
Also see the brilliant website of physio Michelle Kenway - she's an Oz physio.

Why? I mean, incontinence is shit, no doubt about that, but you seem to be completely fixated on your vagina.

As long as it is not a medical problem (which I suppose a prolapse would be) I think this "tight vagina" ideal bullshit has come from porn and we should do our best to ignore it.

BeyondBeyondBeyondBeyondBeyond · 19/07/2016 12:08

Agree with vestal. I have prolapses and double incontinence, I still have amazing sex :)

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 19/07/2016 12:31

3 CS? you are OK, pity the poor fuckers that had vaginal births. I piss myself all the fucking time

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 19/07/2016 12:33
PollyPerky · 19/07/2016 12:51

A lot of meanness going on here towards the OP. Why?

I've had surgery for a 'baggy vagina'. I also had a cystocele and a uterus that was coming down. It's not funny and I don't know why some posters can't see the connection between over-stretched vaginal muscles and a prolapse as the two often go hand in hand.

If you find it doesn't affect sex, great. But equally many women (and men) find that a prolapse or vaginal slackness does affect sex.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 19/07/2016 12:52

I joined a trampoline class and had the foresight to wear a maternity pad (3 kids, 1 VB, 2CS). I did leak. However, after 8 classes and 2 periods, I discovered that I did not leak if I had my mooncup in. So if you're planning on bouncing again, wear a mooncup! It must hold everything up, or summat.

possibly not the advice you were looking for

Diamogs · 19/07/2016 12:56

I read the thread title and immediately started clenching wine

TrampolinePisser · 19/07/2016 14:56

Lol diamogs well hopefully my name alone is helping people Grin

vestal because who WOULD want one??

I want good - no great - sex and also want dh to have great sex (with me, preferably)

At least you're in good company.
Seriously though, pelvic floor exercises.

To be worried I have a baggy vagina?
CherryPicking · 19/07/2016 17:52

I don't know why people are giving the OP biology lessons. Anyone who's ever given birth knows the pelvic floor affects both bladder control and the vagina. And bowel control. Lovely.

TrampolinePisser · 19/07/2016 18:29

Literally have not stopped squeezing my Fanjo today

OP posts:
RhiWrites · 19/07/2016 18:36

Kegels are the same as pelvic floor exercises. Named after the guy who invented them.

Teladi · 19/07/2016 20:26

I found that there is much more to rehabilitating your pelvic floor than Kegels. Can really recommend 'Healthy Habits Happy Moms' (they're on Facebook) who have a good 'postnatal' programme to follow, even if you are many years 'postnatal'. It's worth the £. I have no affiliation with them other than being a happy customer who can now bounce on trampolines.

VenusRising · 20/07/2016 02:20

I agree Teladi, there's a lot more to the pelvic sling and abdominal muscles than a few clenches / kegels.

Trampi, get thee to a post natal physio.
You absolutely won't regret it and think of the savings re a lifetime of incontinence pads

Kitsa · 20/07/2016 02:53

stopfucking can we not with the c sections are not real births bullshit? cos you're veering that way.

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 20/07/2016 09:53

don't project any insecurities about your birth onto me!

simple fact is that vagina is going to be a bit saggier after pushing a baby/s out of it, that's literally all I meant! Do you really dispute that???

having recovered from abdominal surgery, I massively emphasise with C section, they really hurt for a good while and must make recovery and life with a new-born a lot tougher
