I'm up have been up all night got a Ds who doesn't seem to know what sleep is!! Oh and he's 4.

PeacockPie · 17/07/2016 02:58

Oh, kelly now you're talking... I'm now wondering where my nearest 24hr McDonald's is...and whether they'd mind if i turned up in my jamas. If you see a crazy haired woman in squirrel pjs furtively approaching the counter, come over and say hi!

Roundles · 17/07/2016 02:58

Kelly and violet you lovely people for reaching out (hate that term) what's happening where you are?

Roundles · 17/07/2016 03:02

It's a quarter pounder meal with a milkshake hope that's ok

OP posts:
PeacockPie · 17/07/2016 03:03

Leslie I just don't get the milk thing at all, but apparently it's very refreshing (and to be fair, also the coldest drink in our house except for my bottle of wine which was also in the fridge)!

I wish I could knit- my MIL is great at it, maybe I'll ask her to teach me. Which is easier to learn the basics of, that or crochet?

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 17/07/2016 03:04

Nope Roundles it's 3am here and still quite dark. How about you?

Do you have any projects on the go at the moment?

Roundles · 17/07/2016 03:04

Hello judge how come your chap won't sleep? Could we do a story for him?

OP posts:
PeacockPie · 17/07/2016 03:04

Roundles you star- virtual meal gratefully received - particularly if the milkshake was strawberry Grin

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 17/07/2016 03:05

And thank you, I've had various usernames over the years, but this is my favourite Grin I think it's a good motto to live by!

Roundles · 17/07/2016 03:05

leslie your so kind to ask (almost feel like it's real Leslie k asking) I have a twin peaks cross stitch at the moment

OP posts:
Roundles · 17/07/2016 03:07

OP posts:

Roundles Thankyou. Ds has autism so doesn't sleep much at all, but to top it off he's had double ear infections and chest infection.
He's currently bouncing on the trampoline and climbing on the dining room table. Even though I keep getting him bloody down.
He's also a screamer with excitement so trying to keep that down so he doesn't wake ds1 who's 8 Sad

PeacockPie · 17/07/2016 03:10

S'ok roundles, was the thought that counted! Now DH is fast asleep again, I'm going to try and join him (prob won't work and I'll be back again in a minute). That, and I'm stuffed from my virtual meal - if only it was that easy!

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 17/07/2016 03:10

Peacock I'm not sure really. It seems to vary person to person. I'd say crochet is probably a bit easier.

It's also nicer for beginners as if you drop a stitch you just go back to the previous one and it's all fine. Whereas with knitting if you drop a stitch and don't catch it in time it can unravel and be a nightmare to try and fix.

There are lots of YouTube tutorials and stuff so it's quite easy to learn. I find it very relaxing :)

Roundles · 17/07/2016 03:12

Can you try throwing a sheet over the trampoline and making it a low level space? I used to work with similar and the pumping air and quiet space used to help?

OP posts:
Roundles · 17/07/2016 03:14

Can I ask leslie if she is a Leslie knope style person? do youHAVE BINDERS??

OP posts:
PeacockPie · 17/07/2016 03:14

Thanks Leslie, I'll order myself some stuff from Amazon and get onto YouTube and set to it. Smile

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 17/07/2016 03:14

Roundles no, sadly not. I'm a boring Brit I'm afraid! Grin

Is that Twin Peaks the television series? I really admire anyone who has the patience to cross stitch. I find that sort of thing too fiddly and get all frustrated!

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 17/07/2016 03:15

Judge gosh that sounds exhausting. Poor DS and poor you Flowers I hope DS1 manages to stay asleep!

Roundles · 17/07/2016 03:17

Any other film recommendations? Neon demon seems to be pulling a flat three...

OP posts:
Judgeaway · 17/07/2016 03:18

Good idea with the trampoline will give that a try.
His weighted blanket isn't helping tonight in fact nothing seems to be.
Got a birthday party to be at tomorrow as well.

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 17/07/2016 03:19

Roundles yes, I am apparently quite similar to Leslie. I have a very detailed Filofax and I do have some binders. I am also far too enthusiastic about things, love making plans and I take any duties I'm given very seriously!
