To celebrate that the FTSE 250 has virtually recovered

The sky hasn't fallen down, everything is still good and the FTSE 250 is pretty much back where it was before brexit vote.

As all of us smart brexiters said, a few weeks of uncertainty and then things will recover and go from strength to strength.

Re lush...they had already invested in and planned for expansion in Germany pre referendum..so putting a political spin on it might serve to distract people from the companies move out of the UK..in a very non UK loyal way..but they're just using it as an excuse..nothing has changed except Constantine is trying to put a very limp spin on his actions.

It's not the first time, it's a good job I'm not one of those raving shouty meets types Grin

This referendum has been quite the eye opener, I started a thread in the EU section and got told off for saying 'fuck'. Shock

Are there are economic indicators that would make you change your opinion?

You are looking for the positive news to confirm your belief that things are ok. Fair enough, that's human nature.

What incontrovertible economic fact would make you change your view on Brexit being economically positive?

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 11/07/2016 22:07

I think economic argument might be lost on the OP. The fact she thinks the pound is surging is not a great indicator that she can be won over by an economic argument.

sorenofthejnaii · 11/07/2016 22:10

I think you can convince yourself that you made the right choice and look for evidence to support your view (and ignore the rest)

Until some giant bit of economic reality comes up and knocks you for 6.

For most people,I'm guessing it will probably be the budget, inflation, house / rent prices and jobs. Things you can't rely deny.
