How bad does a cut need to be to go to A&E?

DS has cut himself, while playing out with his friends (private school, so summer holidays) and I'm not sure if A&E is needed. Thanks xx

Did any of you RTFT? She only JUST got a look at it (and attached a pic for those who were curious) and at the SAME TIME as posting the pic she said he needed A&E. Her OP was trying to determine if ALL cuts should be taken to A&E because he wouldn't let her look at it.

i saw the photo....walk in centre....im just amazed people think 'i must ask mumsnetters their opinion first'....mind boggling!
