to think we can't have someone with such overplucked eyebrows as PM?

Come on Andrea, it's not the 90s any more. Seriously we could have the ubergroomed Hillary as US president. We can't have a PM looking like she's more suited to propping up the local golf club bar with her fifth double G&T of the evening.

(Quick breather to say fuck off Daily Mail to make the OP unquotable just in case they take it seriously).

Theresa with her killer cleavage and kitten heels would be much more stylish. Although I seem to remember some outlandish knitwear on more than one occasion.

Disclaimer: not in the least lighthearted.

Actually, Jackie, now you mention it, John Major's eyebrows were a bit Tony Benn. Too retro for the times. That's probably why he didn't last long.

MardyBra · 09/07/2016 15:34

Oh, I seem to remember Dennis not only had the eyebrows, he may have had excessive ear hair. But, it's OK, because he was a bloke.

But healey wasnt PM so his eyebrows are exempt from judgement.

JackieAndHyde4eva · 09/07/2016 15:36

That's probably why he didn't last long.

That'll be it. Maybe thin eyebrows = longevity then?

RaptorInaPorkPieHat · 09/07/2016 15:36

Yes, we need strong eyebrows to successfully negotiate our way out of Europe Wink maybe she can have a transplant from Dennis Healey.

Of course, I'm far more concerned about her stance on:

Workers rights
Same sex marriage
Blood sports
Fracking
The link between being an effective leader and the ability to have children

Oh, and the fact that our next PM will be voted in by less than 200 thousand people....... makes the 'small' 1.2 million vote majority seem gargantuan in comparison.

MardyBra · 09/07/2016 15:36

Oh, I've googled and his ears were fine. It's a false memory.

Dennis Healey's eyebrows could have EACH been PM on their own, of course.

PreAdvent13610 · 09/07/2016 15:38

Loads of male politicians have been known for their eye brows, Norman Lamont, Alistair Darling...
John Majors had his top lip and David Cameron has an uncanny resemblance to a freshly wanked cock, but is saved by a Savile Row suit that gives him a credible appearance.

NotYoda · 09/07/2016 15:39

It's come to my attention recently that my eyebrows are too thin for 2016.

Damn you 1990s!!! they won't grow back now. I'm nearly as old as AL

KickAssAngel · 09/07/2016 15:40

I think the slant of an eyebrow can tell a lot about a person's views on workers' rights.

It's just taking phrenology to the next level.

Wolpertinger · 09/07/2016 15:40

I am so glad to have found this thread. My poor DH has been putting up with my distress at Andrea Leadsom's eyebrows for days now not to mention her policies

I can't follow someone into the future who hasn't updated their makeup look since 1991.

Plus I Envy Theresa May's shoe collection.

MardyBra · 09/07/2016 15:40

Raptor, I'm sure you have a point, but have you watched gordy's link upthread. Be careful now. Wink

I'm nearly her age too, but fortunately I've always been too much of a wimp for any serious plucking.

Now, that Nicola Sturgeon not only has a nicely shaped brow, but she's been turning into a bit of a sex kitten recently. She is obviously a most capable politician.

NotYoda · 09/07/2016 15:45

i used to have brows like brooke shields in blue lagoon

RaptorInaPorkPieHat · 09/07/2016 15:45

I apologise for thinking and shall instead hark back to the 'good old days' of the 1980's with this clip:

EttaJ · 09/07/2016 15:49

The fact that she's a pro fox hunting ,proudly homophobic cunt is more of a concern but yes, she's fucking ugly too .

Inertia · 09/07/2016 15:50

Don't give a shiny shite about her 1950s eyebrows. It's her 1950s attitudes which worry me.

PreAdvent13610 · 09/07/2016 15:51

Whole newspaper column about Tony's eyebrows.
Yes we the British public are happily that shallow.

NotYoda · 09/07/2016 15:52

Inertia

Yes, yes, but what about her hair? Do we prefer it longer, as it is now, or the rather helmet-shaped affair of her early days in Parliament?

MardyBra · 09/07/2016 15:55

I see Angela Eagle, queen of the Next suit, is looking to have a stab at the Labour leadership.

OP posts:
ilovesooty · 09/07/2016 15:56

I don't care what gender the PM is. I do care if they have loathsome views. I don't care about their appearance.

NotYoda · 09/07/2016 15:58

ilove

me neither. although I do think a pencil skirt is a metaphor for something

MardyBra · 09/07/2016 16:01

Does anyone think La Leadsom could do with a little lift to counteract the ageing effect of the eyebrows? Wink

OP posts:
HemanOrSheRa · 09/07/2016 16:03

Andrea Loathsome is some weird and terrifying hybrid of Margaret Thatcher and Edwina Curry. It's been worrying me for weeks.
